I love John Grisham, I’ve read just about everything he’s written. John Grisham is not however a very good narrator. Just keep writing John, love your work, but please don’t read it to me

Great book. Terrible narration!

The content of the book is incredible, but the person reading it is worse than a computer voice. I had to order the paperback to read it again so I can really get the full impact of the author’s intentions.

Great series!!

As a Christian reader that appreciates suspense and mystery in books, but also wants to have a clean presentation of the story, void of curse words and filth, Henderson nails it! These books hold my attention and leave me trying to figure out “who done it”. The love story that unfolds is sweet and wholesome. Finally, the best part, the message of the gospel is subtly present but extremely clear and invites the reader to want to know Jesus.
My only complaint is that the narrator has a irritating way of dragging out the first word in the characters dialog. For example: “Iiiiiiiiii....thought you might like that” or “iiiiiffffff ...you say so” The personality inflection works for one character (occasionally) , but don’t do it on all of them and at the beginning of every dialog line.

What happened to Grisham?

Good book, but being a Grisham fan I felt like I had to keep checking to see if this was his work or not. Totally different flare and style to this writing. I prefer the “old” John Grisham. January LaVoy was spectacular as always. Overall an okay read, once I altered my expectations.
