Mike is amazing
Revisado: 02-09-23
There's just something about Mike that makes you love him. He's telling the most horrific stories imaginable but can make you laugh and smile while crying at the same time. He's always so respectful to the victims and their families and bringing attention to cases that many people may have never heard of.
It doesn't matter how many times you may have heard about a particular case, it's always worth giving it a gooo when watching or listening to Mike retell the tales.
Highly recommend his podcast and his YouTube channel. Though fair warning you'll lose a lot of sleep because you have to watch or listen to "just one more."
We love ya too, Mike!

Historia
This week, we have two stories for you of men who are wanted for killing their families. Our first story is about a man named Bradford Bishop, a man who, after not receiving a promotion at work, went home, and methodically killed his entire family. Officials believe he then fled the country and has been living out his days in Europe. Our second story is about a man named Yaser Said who is still on the FBI's 10 most wanted list for murdering his two daughters in the back of his cab. His daughter died while on the phone with 911 trying to get help, but they couldn't get to her in time. The FBI ...

Yaser Said has been caught
Revisado: 01-16-23
I enjoyed this story, it's well thought out and presented. I just wanted to note that Yaser Said has been captured. I also wanted to point out that in the podcast you doubt the honor killing theory because the family wasn't religious. Honor killings aren't about religion they are about the family's honor being tarnished. When these people are killed it is literally to save the honor of their family. Many family members of honor killing victims will say they approve of the deaths because if the fathers, uncles, brothers etc had not killed the family member it would have brought shame to their families and they would lose respect of other members of their communities. Religion has zero part in most honor killings. I won't say all because I can't say that with absolute certainty but it is generally the case.

Great story and the end blew my mind. I had no clue! Definitely a great story and series. I can not wait for the next book.
Like many others have said, I detest when narrators get changed and while the narrator did a decent enough job, the characters all seemed different. I feel like I knew the characters from the previous three books and now it's like they're all strangers. Please bring back the original narrator for the next installment if it is possible.

Historia
As a young duke, all Nathaniel wants is to be left alone. So when he meets Charlotte, an outspoken American heiress, he is suspicious of her indifference. Too many women have sought - and failed - to catch him. However, Charlotte is unimpressed by his title. She has no interest in English dukes. All she wants is to leave dreary England and travel to the sunny sands of Egypt to see the grand pyramids. Unfortunately, a debutante seeking to entrap Nathaniel gets murdered.

Irritating "Heroine"
Revisado: 06-03-21
For a woman whom was supposedly so much more sophisticated and intelligent than the socialites of London, Charlotte was an absolute idiot.
The story was interesting but the narrator was hard to listen to. I don't know if the Heroine was really as stupid as she seemed or if it was just the high pitched monotone voice the narrator used.
If you can get past those 2 issues, the book is worth listening to. But if it weren't offered for free I would be very unhappy.

OK but horrible narrator
Revisado: 05-04-21
It's a decent enough story if you can get past the awful songs, the main character being super whiney and the best friends horrible screeching voice. The narration really left something to be desired.

Book 10 was awful
Revisado: 12-29-20
I don't typically skip parts of books but book 10 was so repetitive and boring I found myself skipping ahead constantly. The whole book was Bay whining and Landon begging for forgiveness for nothing. It was very hard to get through.
As always the narrator is awful, by book 12 her whiney and nasal tone has gotten better but she is a horrible narrator, I don't really understand why she gets chosen to narrate so many stories.
The other 2 books had more interesting story lines.

Pointless complaint
Revisado: 12-26-20
The books are good and funny but as many have said, the narrator, Hollis McCarthy is horrible. This is the second set of novels I've listened to that were narrated by her and it's very difficult to finish listening.
If you can get passed the awful sound of her nassaly whiney voice, the books are actually pretty good.
The author over uses several phrases but that's a minor issue that doesn't ruin the story.

Uniquely sad but sweet

I thoroughly enjoyed this short listen. The children are very endearing in a strange way but the heart of the story is a tale as old as time...everyone just wants to be loved and understood.
I'm really looking forward to more of the Weirdies.

Great story
Revisado: 10-23-20
The author must have received A LOT of complaints about the Vegan agenda in the first 3 novels and very nicely laid off the subject for this novel. The mass amounts of repeating the same information was also reduced. It made listening to this story much easier.
I enjoyed the story line very much and the narrator did a phenomenal job as always. I hope there will be another novel soon.

Pretty OK
Revisado: 10-20-20
I liked the book but the repetitive mention of the authors clear veganism preference seemed pretty much pointless to the story. Who knew even a fictional vegan could be so obnoxious about their perceived superior dietary habits.
The narrator did fairly well with her different characters and never sounded robotic but whomever edited the recording was very lacking. At one point during the book I actually heard the narrator clear her throat. Natural function of life I understand but one would think the publishers of this audio book would have taken better care to keep that from being in the finished product.
