Very profound

I rarely write a review, but I found this novel to be outstanding. It was hard at times due to the content, but also hopeful. I found myself in tears several times. The coming of age lessons, the lessons about how fragile life is are touching, which makes the pain of the Vietnam experiences valuable and manageable emotionally.

Where does Rules of Civility rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I've listened to audiobooks for years, and this one ranks near the top. I never actually take the time to review a book other than giving it stars.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I loved actually all of the characters. The author did an excellent job in developing most of them. I want to say Dicky was a favorite, but Wallace was probably the winner there.
Have you listened to any of Rebecca Lowman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This is my first with Rebecca Lowman. She did an excellent job and I would love to hear her read more books.
If you could take any character from Rules of Civility out to dinner, who would it be and why?
I would take Anne out for dinner and drinks.
Any additional comments?
This book is extremely well written. One of my favorites. The character development was well executed, the story intriguing, the reader perfect.

This book was very thoughtful and thorough. It is fact based, but reads like a novel?, bringing the people to life. Highlights the start of radicalism and the role that the west has played in fueling that.
