Not a bad book but, but not a great book. The story okay. Far better than book 8. I’ll admit parts were a bit long winded. Some of the second half was a bit over done. Narrator is the saving grace.

I can’t do this book series anymore!

I’m returning this title. First two hrs are boring and nothing but talking about high school sex and a “thruple”. The author needs to grow up and move on as do these characters. The male performers are great but the female narrator is the worst. The series ended at book 8, skip this book!

8 books in and it’s starting to get stale

Look I get it already Randidily is Superman! Over 7hrs of this book is just him beating up on the donnyton squads. This got really old after about hour 2. Yes it was used to show how much Randidly is changing and that he views the world differently than the rest. Honestly that section should have lasted two hrs at the most.

You could have hand waved the first few fights and then just moved onto the fight with the elites/leadership. Yes there was a lot of back and forth between the secondary characters during this time and showing how disgusting Mrs. Hamilton has become as a person. Honestly I wish she had been killed. Backstabbing b@$#h!

I really found the second half more entertaining than the first. I wanted to know more about the situation at Ericsson Steel and wish you had spent more time in that But of course Randidly spends an hour or two there and then runs off to go hide in a dungeon! Sure that part was necessary for the story, but man it’s time to move away from him hiding from situations and actually be a part of the world.

I know that this is a litrpg and the formula has a specific flavor. But your side stories are more interesting than just Randidly being an ass to everyone and flexing his muscles to show the world I’m better than you. Move away from the current format and spread your wings.

The formula needs to change…

Look I have listened to every ExForce book and the ending of this one is the same formula that has been used in the last several books. I’m ready for a change.

RC’s performance is great but there seemed to be parts where RC seemed to be phoning it in a bit. Mostly in the conversations between Joe and Skippy. As much as I love skippy, I feel that he needs a bit of a growing up it’s been something like 30yrs.

Sure there are several points where it seems he’s like an adult, but the petulant child act is getting stale. I was glad to hear Joe put him in his place a few times in this book.

Not a bad start to a series!

Interesting take on a post apocalyptic world. Very reminiscent of a 40k story. Only issue I take with the book is the narrator was trying to hard to make it sound like a 40k narration.
Female characters all sounded like the males and the male characters at times are somewhat hard to distinguish from one another.

Maybe focus less on wanting to be a 40k litRPG and more on just telling the story.

But overall I’ll continue with the series.

Unique take to the LitRPG genre!

Food is going to kill you! You need some nacho cheese to save you! This was a nice take on the litRPG genre. Nacho is a bit whiny until he accepts that he needs to level also. The corny food names for his friends it a bit overdone, especially once the dinner party is formed.

All and all a good listen! Looking forward to the next book

Eh some good short stories but most at mediocre

I would just pass on this one. There are a few good tales. But really need to give people a primer on pronunciation of words. Ly-ren commonwealth grates on my nerve.

The female narrator is awful as are several of the male narrators.

I think the first narrator for the first story is the best and would have made these mediocre tales better. I know this is a compilation. But wow! Pass on this.

Between the idiotic talk like a Barbadian to the rogue who talks like William Shatner the entire time. The story is not that interesting. It’s litRPG sure but there’s better ones out there. Move along and find another book. I don’t think I would continue this series.

Very good hero redemption story!

This was a surprise story that I was not sure I would have liked at the beginning. It turned into a great story and the lgbtq community angle was handled well without out be blatantly in your face about it. Well done and if you like the super Powered series and are on the fence about this one give it a shot!
