A Worthwhile Compilation of His Social Media Works

While I love his social media and YouTube videos, I sometimes like to just enjoy information without video to distract me. Ndiaye has a very warm and comforting voice so I’m glad he read his own book. He kept his quick-fire humor and witty associations making this an enjoyable and educational experience.

Super Intriguing

Loved the whole concept. The mythology meets science but doesn’t need science aspect.
I need a volume two cause I want to know what ol’ doc was looking for in Texas. I want to know what those murderous guys’ confessions looked like. What’s the legal fallout? And will the others join Josie, Kate, Fiona, and Isabelle to form an all girls avengers?

The Fake Southern Drawl is Distracting

As someone from a Northern state that grew up in the Deep South, this faux Louisiana drawl-pretend sass mix made me speed the book up to 1.5x. I got the kindle version to review and can’t see myself listening to the other books in the series. It is unfortunate because the book itself is interesting.

Would you listen to The Last Battle again? Why?

No, I'm done with that disappointment. Even with Patrick Stewart's voice and amazing skills trying to make up for this weak story, I couldn't deal with it.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I hope Susan became a duchess of somewhere and said YOLO.

What does Patrick Stewart bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I love his voice, so....everything.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I was annoyed and surprised by a number of things:

Why did the king of Narnia keep a blackface kit? Why were the worshippers of death, brown-skinned? And why were all the animals and people of Narnia dumber in this book than all the other books?

Why I don't remember this from high school

The author should not have read this book, his voice is monotone, making the story sometimes hard to follow. Other than that, the story was good though it is definitely a younger leaders book. There's good reason for it being a classic.

No, I like the story just not this dramatized version of it.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The voices were hard to follow and I never knew where they were.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Coco of course, but Karbo is quite interesting herself.

Have you listened to any of Bernadette Dunne’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but I loved her performance. She really creates an atmosphere and brings a lot of energy to the story. She makes it alive like I believe Karen Karbo intended.

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

The idea that some of the greatest people of our time have "created" themselves literally in their own minds and refused to let anyone correct them.

Any additional comments?

Great infusion of fashion history in a way that a none fashion buff can also relate to. In fact, I was able to give background info to my husband (who probably didn't care, but pretended very well) about a recent Chanel headline.

No.

What could Terah Kathryn Collins have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Tell me anything useful, but I guess that's why she does consultations. If she just told you in a book like Karen Kingston, you would just do it and maybe enjoy it.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Introduction to Feng Shui?

All of it. It makes Feng Shui feel sleazy, like a cheap self help guide instead of an ancient traditional understanding of energy.
