I've always been interested in the theory of the law of attraction, but something about many of the books on the topic sort of irks me - like I'm always expecting some kind of mystical music to be playing in the background. Actually, there sometimes IS some kind of mystical music playing in the background. And while I think those books do have their value, they've just always seemed a tiny bit off to me.

Greg Kuhn's take on the subject is different. It's more based in science, with facts presented, well, matter-of-factly, and in terms that anyone can understand. Trust me on that, I am no scientist.

I don't think this book will convince a hardened skeptic of anything, but if you have any interest in the subject at all, it's worth reading. I liked it enough to move on to another Greg Kuhn title.

This book ranges from thoroughly entertaining to laughing-alone-in-my-car funny, and prior to listening to it I would not have called myself a fan of Michael Ian Black. Now I am. I'm 41, and could identify in some way with just about every single topic he touched on in this book. It was funny. Excellent narration in just the right voice. Bottom line, I loved it. Oh, and did I mention it was funny?

I've commuted to work for over 15 years, and listened to a lot of audiobooks along the way - and I have to say that Bossypants was one of my favorites. It was funny without trying to be too comical, it was entertaining until the very end, and Tina Fey delivered it perfectly, in an engaging voice that was never dull and yet never over-the-top. She comes across as the neurotic mom next door, who just happens to be very intelligent - oh, and also, very famous. I generally listen to audiobooks to pass the time during a 40-minute drive. This one, I actually looked forward to every day. I loved it, would recommend to a friend, in fact, I already have.
