The Burning Land is remarkably good, as is all of David Hair’s work. It’s crazy that the Sunsurge Quartet isn’t on audible, because Moontide is one of the best adventures on this platform. The only thing this book has in common with moontide is the style of using different character perspectives.

Moontide moves a million miles an hour right from the start. This series is far more complex in a good way. This is David Hair’s best book yet by far. It is his most recent, which means he’s a great writer who’s still getting better. The narration is great, a credit well spent.

A great Scyfy novel is the greatest escape we have in life. It's only more true with the rise of audible. First please ignore the awful review comparing this to Red Rising. They are only alike in that they are very well written. They both obviously took years to write, they are complex fully developed. In other words they are both great, but the fact that they both use the term reaper plenty is the only thing that's similar.

This narrator is remarkable. He is no Tim Gerard Reynolds knock off, he is fantastic in his own right, and he sounds completely unique. Apparently Bob thinks Red Rising has the monopoly on narrators who speak British English.

Comparing this to Red Rising may also be disrespecting this series which is off to a remarkable start. Everything after book 3 in Red Rising has been, let's just say stop after 3 and it's great, continue knowing the rest may ruin it for you.

This book has it all. I need to listen to it again as its been a while and the sequel is coming.

Stormblood is complicated, completely original, absolutely worth your credits. Stormblood stands on its own merits.

So many of you go nuts when anybody dares to compare a novelist with Rothfuss and or Sanderson. The thing is they shouldn’t be compared to each other. Rothfuss makes words sound beautiful, and the king killer chronicles are amazing, and yet incomplete. Rothfuss is essentially retired. Sanderson, well everything he writes is epic and fun. Nobody can match his quantity of quality. All that aside:

Robert Power deserves tremendous credit for this remarkable story. It’s epic and fun in a similar fashion to Sanderson, and beautifully written. Honestly I never write reviews. I listened to this book when it first came out. I came on audible today to check out the status of the sequel and could not believe some of the asinine reviews. Somebody felt they had to pull their car over and rip this novel because he or she wanted Sanderson or Rothfuss. There is room for other great novelists. There is so much crappy fantasy out there.

This is the best fantasy novel written by a man in recent history. Arkady Martine, Ann Leckie, Katherine Addison, and NK Jemisin are the ladies who are setting the bar in fantasy these days.

Spark city is beautiful, and deserves acclaim. I’m super excited to see that the sequel will be here in a month.

By the way this was written on a cell phone at 445 am, so if’s written poorly, it’s likely because I’ve gone cross eyed.

A wonderful story, masterful performance, and the author's note at the end was so authentic and moving. The story alone without any knowledge of what inspired the author was wonderful. This is listed as a YA book (which should turn away nobody, its wonderful literature and I bet the author chose to categorize the story that way because the message is to open your eyes, take notice of tragedy and misjustice and realize that you as an individual whether you are 14 or 40 can do something about it. This story seemed to begin as a method of coping for the author, and she copes beautifully. Read or listen to this book. You will enjoy it and if it doesn't move you, I don't know what will. I'm going to his submit, and then start the sequel!

I’m excited about Deathstalker. I really enjoyed book 1. Recently I’ve had trouble finding solid sci-fi fantasy novels, there’s a lot of crap out there. Deathstalker is no Hyperion, but then nothing is. No spoilers here, but this is the beginning of a very promising space opera. I will continue with the series.

A very good conclusion

I've seen a few reviews that said this novel was sexual. Nothing could be anything further from the truth. It is a YA series, and there may have been arguably a few pg-13 depictions of relationships that began in the first novel that grew deeper in this novel, that's it. I rarely ever read anything YA, but I enjoyed this duology very much. Carve the Mark was better, but the Dates Divide answered many question and provided an enjoyable conclusion.

I’ve only written a few reviews. I seem more motivated to review a novel that either surprises me, or is poorly reflected by others words. This novel and it’s predecessor are nothing short of fantastic as all the reviews indicate. The Arc of the Scythe which has more to come is categorized as Young Adult, and I would have loved to read the series when I was younger and be able to reflect on what I took out of them then in comparison to what they inspire in me now. They are compelling fast paced and easy to read while managing to be insanely thought provoking. Like everyone else I cannot wait for more.

It's hard to see poor reviews from people who claim to be Sanderson fans, who claim to be Science fiction fans. The general complaint is that the story didn't go the way they thought it would, it was unpredictable. This novel has the best pace of the three, we learn more about the main characters, yet it retains its complexity. Yes it leaves you wanting more, it's incredibly lengthy for one credit, it's the best book in the series.

I really wanted to like Expeditionary Force, and maybe one day I will if I read it if. Listening to R.C. Bray is like listening to a smoker grating teeth on a chalk board. He’s perhaps the worst narrator ever and of ruined Alanson’s previous work for me.

This story is magnificent and for once I agree with some of the reviews in that it’s also frustrating. The fact that it’s intended to be frustrating helps Alanson pull it off. The characters in this novel are magnificent and i cannot see what happens next.

It is a book where characters are constantly tested by misunderstanding and the inability of people to pass messages well and yet that’s a fact of life. The details of a message often change drastically from the sources mouth until it eventually reaches the ears of the intended.

This is a gem, worth a few small minutes to review.

Health issues have resulted in me having more spare time than I would like. I read a great deal, but in recent years audible has been my prefered method of enjoying a story. I have listened to countless books, put in thoudands of hours, and would put my collection up against anyones. All that is simply to set up the fact that i cannot remember the last time i wrote a review. I should commit to doing them, but this novel by Veronica Roth in tandem with the performance Austin Butler and Emily Rankin left me compelled to comment.

I enjoyed the first Divergent novel, but was not enthusiastic about the next two novels in the trilogy. When I saw Veronica Roth's name on a novel that was reaching out to Star Wars fans, I was both skeptical and intrigued. Its been a while since ive listened or read something truly epic. Im talking Kingkiller Chronicles epic, or Game of Thrones epic, or even Star Wars epic. When I saw the description for Carve the Mark, i did not wait for my monthly audible credit, I purchased it, started it, and marathoned my way through it in under 2 days.

I dont want to risk any kind of spoiler. I want to simply highly recommend this novel whether you read or listen to this stellar performance. Be patient through the first two or three chapters they are a tad confusing. You will be rewarderd with a tale full of remarkably developed characters, a new and exciting world/galaxy, and a unique magic system that definitetly should intrigue Star Wars fans. While there are parallels between the "force," and the " current, " the ladder is original enough to atttract the rare population of science fiction and fantasy lovers who are not Star Wars fans.

This novel is nothing at all lime Divergent, its far more mature, and has infinitely more depth.

I loved it. It was the epic story I had been craving.
