The story line was there- city dr in love, mystery death, then the hometown guy.. the author is all over the place. She doesn’t know how to write romance- literally zero in this book. There is a story of a woman coming into her own but she leaves the biggest question unanswered and just ends the book in the middle of a thought! It’s unbelievable! Just not worth the time to invest

Great writing but lacks a storyline

That was ten hours too long. She had a great beginning and some movement towards a great mystery, but never followed through. It was too easy a relationship and just rush into bizarre moments of tension only to never follow through. I would skip this book and hope she can condense her thoughts and story lines in future books.

Finally a great writer, plot, suspense and love!

I have been searching for a writer who can tap into a suspense live story. The plot is compelling and deep enough for you to get lost.
Some great sex scenes although it was with the wrong couple! I loved this book, truly worth the read. I will be reading all of her books.

She has a good reader, the main character is written well and appealing. The issue is the lead woman. She starts off great, then it becomes unbelievable. She lacks development, desire, power. I see a immature nerd unbelievable to be with this guy

This book was an about a homely woman who has no redeeming qualities. We are supposed to believe that a Navy Seal falls in love with this drab woman in one meeting. The reader sounded like a nerd that left you hating the character more with her tone choices. The romance was a bizarre joke.

From the moment you start hearing her voice it is like a robot is reading. This book could have been so much better if the right person was reading it. I felt like the whole book was dealing with a 5 year old trying to understand how to get sex, it was so juvenile.
