Historia
One hundred thousand years ago, at least six human species inhabited the Earth. Today there is just one. Us. Homo sapiens. How did our species succeed in the battle for dominance? Why did our foraging ancestors come together to create cities and kingdoms? How did we come to believe in gods, nations, and human rights; to trust money, books, and laws; and to be enslaved by bureaucracy, timetables, and consumerism?

Outstanding

Brilliant analysis that treats all mythologies as equal sub-layers of the social order and points the human condition towards an uncertain future. If the leaders of religion and ideology could seriously remake their current practices, they need to read this together.

Interesting but loses clarity

Liked some of the more well-known stories by adding depth but more obscure stories were difficult to understand exactly what happened and the significance.
