Historia
Threatened with an arranged marriage to a cruel lord who despises him, Aster claims the protection of the one man no one will dare to challenge: Sir Corin, disgraced dragon knight…and the man Aster’s sister betrayed so publicly that he fled the court for a gloomy, isolated mountain hideaway. But Aster didn’t plan to be stranded there with one bed between them—or to give in to years of longing and beg for the monster’s forbidden touch.

Cute!
Revisado: 07-11-24
The story was predictable with nearly every cliché, while being incredibly sweet and cute. It was definitely an enjoyable and even addicting listen. I can't wait to continue the series. I guess it's like the equivalent of a really good B-movie. The Narrator was wonderful too.

Historia
Sword fighting, swearing, and riding astride come naturally to Saidh Buchanan. Simpering and holding her tongue - definitely not. Raised alongside seven boisterous brothers, Saidh has little interest in saddling herself with a husband...until she glimpses the new Laird MacDonnell bathing naked in the loch.

cute, funny and steamy
Revisado: 06-09-24
It's just a nice lighthearted romance mystery about men in kilts. Definitely very steamy if that's a draw for you. My only complaint is that Saidh and her brothers feel a tad too comfortable discussing private matters, especially for overprotective brothers. it just struck me as odd, but it doesn't really take anything away from it.

a nice listen
Revisado: 11-20-23
nothing spectacular, but a good easy listen. The plot isn't complicated, with overly complex characters. That actually make it perfect to listen to while you're busy with something. highly recommend.

I can't say in one phrase how wonderful this was!
Revisado: 05-16-23
I don't know where to start. I love the awkward, nerd Madeline, her character read original without "not like other girls" vibes.
All along the way, it was funny and amusing in an adorable way, without reading as a comedy. I loved the easy teasing and banter. It was emotional and moving, with tension, without reading to heavy.
I found myself giggling all through with out second hand embarrassment that often comes with humor in romance.
However, if I had the ability to give it 4.5 stars, I would only because there were several tiny details I could knit pick. For example, she kept saying "corset," which wasn't what it was called, and the usually didn't even resemble what we think of corsets today. They wore short stay, which couldn't be laced tight or even snugly. Their main purpose was support, not shaping.
but in the end, the story experience as a whole was so wonderful that things like that didn't detract too much.
