The book has a great section at the front outlining all the latest research on plant based nutrition in an easy to digest fashion. Although the book is called no meat athlete, the recipes are definitely not just for those who love to exercise (although I do and they are great for that) it works well as a family cook book and we cook from this book a couple of time every week and our 5 & 7 year old love the meals from this book.
