Historia
Jay Gatsby is still in love with Daisy, whom he met during the war when he was penniless. Having made himself wealthy through illegal means, he now lives in a mansion across the bay from the home of Daisy Buchanan, who has since married for money. Holding on to his illusion of Daisy as perfect, he seeks to impress her with his wealth, and uses his new neighbor, Nick Carraway, (our narrator), to reach her.

Great listen
Revisado: 01-10-13
If you could sum up The Great Gatsby in three words, what would they be?
We never read this in school and I am glad I finally had a chance to listen to this book. The Narrator was amazing he put so much life into the book. I dont fill like I cheated myself at all as I have felt with other books by listening to it instead of reading it.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Gatsby. I kinda felt sorry for him
Which scene was your favorite?
The scene in the hotel room when Gatsby and Tom get finally have that talk with everyone in the room. So didnt expect it to happen there.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No not until later on in the book but it is so short anyone could do it on their day off.

Entertaining and memorable.

Would you listen to Nefertiti again? Why?
Yes. Very interesting point of view from the author and the story is stuck in my head.
What other book might you compare Nefertiti to and why?
Idk
What about Cassandra Campbell’s performance did you like?
I could hear the change of the characters in her voice. Though she is female she didn't need to drastically change her voice to portray the male characters. It's flowed very well.
If you could rename Nefertiti, what would you call it?
Nefertiti's Shadow
Any additional comments?
No this book isn't completely factual but has a fun view of Nefertiti's life and family. It actually made me want to investigate the facts for myself. Good read. It lingered in my mind along with the imagines I was able to develop as I read.

Historia
Nine of us came here. We look like you. We talk like you. We live among you. But we are not you. We can do things you dream of doing. We have powers you dream of having. We are stronger and faster than anything you have ever seen. We are the superheroes you worship in movies and comic books—but we are real.

Poor Narration.
Revisado: 01-04-13
Would you try another book from Pittacus Lore and/or Neil Kaplan?
Yes
Would you be willing to try another one of Neil Kaplan’s performances?
No
Did I Am Number Four inspire you to do anything?
No
Any additional comments?
I already knew this book was for a younger audience and was prepared for that. However, I did not anticipate the narration to be what it was. The choice of voices for the characters was not attractive at all. The women's voices made me cringe. It was like audio drag. I even felt like the main character was lame from the way it was read. I was able to imagine how a male teen would actually speak and it made things better. But I really wanted to listen to this book. I may just read the others myself.
