I loved this book! I wasn't really expecting to enjoy this as much as I did...I binge listened in on my day off while cleaning, cooking, and staying up way too late.
I fell in love with the characters...relatable and real.
I can't wait to listen to the rest of the series.

Historia
Budo is lucky as imaginary friends go. He's been alive for more than five years, which is positively ancient in the world of imaginary friends. But Budo feels his age, and thinks constantly of the day when eight-year-old Max Delaney will stop believing in him. When that happens, Budo will disappear. Max is different from other children. Some people say that he has Asperger's Syndrome, but most just say he's "on the spectrum." None of this matters to Budo, who loves Max and is charged with protecting him from the class bully.

Slow, took awhile to catch my interest
Revisado: 08-19-16
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
It would depend on the friend's interests, but this is not a book I would recommend to everyone.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
The imaginary friends were very interesting. The story was just very slow and took a long time to get through.
Was Memoirs of an Imaginary Friend worth the listening time?
Not as long as it took to get through. I like the story, but I think it could have been told in less words/less time.
Any additional comments?
This was a tough listen. I wanted to get through it but it took me a very long time (months) because it just wasn't capturing my interest. It was very slow and boring at first. I did enjoy the story overall, but it was hard to get through.

Historia
Mercedes Hildebrand Ware is a member beyond reproach...until her life begins to unravel. When her husband betrays her, steals her money, and runs off to places unknown, it's something Frede would prefer to keep under wraps. The last thing she needs is to become fodder for the JLWC gossip mill. And to make matters worse, there's only one person in town who stands a chance at helping her get revenge - Howard Grout, a tasteless, gold-chain-wearing lawyer who has bought his way into Frede's tony neighborhood.

Historia
"My name is Tucker Max, and I am an asshole. I get excessively drunk at inappropriate times, disregard social norms, indulge every whim, ignore the consequences of my actions, mock idiots and posers, sleep with more women than is safe or reasonable, and just generally act like a raging dickhead. But, I do contribute to humanity in one very important way: I share my adventures with the world."

Bad Narration
Revisado: 11-03-11
The stories weren't anything special, really. I'm not sure why but I was expecting more. They all seemed the same. I thought there would be more variations between them. I struggled to listen to the whole thing, and it's not a very long audiobook. The worst part was the narration. He read way too fast, with little enthusiasm, slurring and mispronouncing quite a bit. The way he read made it seem like he was just reading these stories someone else had written, not as if he experienced them.
