It's a really helpful book. If you are still facing some issues in understanding what it is, I suggest you go to Brian's Udemy course.

I'm not a big fan of Grant myself for a reason & I find some big flaws in his decision making progress. However, this book introduces a very interesting concept to the listener. Massive levels of action create a new set of problems, I experienced that personally but couldn't phrase it the way he did. I think that is 100% true & people should know that, I learned that from my college years (now graduating) when I exerted an insane amount of effort. It didn't clear the queue of my problems. It solved issues my peers are still figuring out & introduced problems of a higher level. Even though it is quite stressful, I enjoy it & I feel blessed by such a situation I'm in. The only thing I would like to add on that is to be always careful because 10X actions can 10X your successes but they may also 10X your failures to a point that may threaten your development. So, go ahead & put more effort into your life, but make sure you plan very carefully for each step in the process.

The book provides a lot of useful information. Giving a "Hunter-gatherer" view on modern-day life can be quite interesting. Unfortunately, the book was written like a scientific paper which makes it hard to go through. Scientific papers are short & concise thus, we can tolerate the boredom. However, it's not the same with books. Audio-wise I'm a little surprised, I listened to Heather on a couple of podcasts & never felt an issue, but her voice while reading tired me a little. Unlike Bret who I enjoyed listening to. Long story short, the book contains awesome topics to discuss, but this is the one I would rather read myself in a step by step manner.

The book is so entertaining, McConaughey's voice & narration were awesome leave alone the writing itself. Therapeutic content that helped me wrestle my daily struggles!!

I'll talk about only one sentence.

There is a ton of wisdom lying in the book across its different chapters or rules. I choose to talk about only one sentence Dr Peterson wrote in his twelfth & last rule; Pet a cat when you encounter one. He wrote, "What can be truly loved about a person, is inseparable from his limitations.".
This sentence changed how I view people, I used to think of people's attributes as two lists; good attributes & bad attributes. I was appreciative & understanding of people around me, but this view made me frustrated when encountering something negative within someone I love. Now I think about people in something like a Venn diagram where the two sets intersect in most of their area. Absolute good/bad traits exist, but they are rare. The common traits of people are in fact double-sided, it depends on the situation they are in & what it will manifest within them. This encourages me to be more forgiving & accepting of human mistakes. It also provides a tool that can help me explain to others how to navigate some situations that they may find tricky.
I believe this is what books are supposed to do, teach, inspire & change.
