Brilliant books. Easily top 3 LitRPG. This series is phenomenal. Keep them coming, and I'll keep finishing them in a day and then going crazy waiting for the next one.

This book (these 2 books) is fantastic. I didn't expect it to be as good due to the free status but I was very, very surprised. I'll be buying the rest of the series.

Title says it all. It’s almost scary that Terry can consistently know there books out of the park. Give us a chance to have a favourite! They’re all too good to be 2nd best.

But don’t stop what you’re doing.

I go into every Spellmonger book expecting brilliance and I’m never disappointed. Footwizard takes that to a new level. I’ve never felt like laughing, crying, screaming, saying “Noooooo” and “Yessssss” at the same time on multiple occasions every chapter. Terry, you’re a genius, this will go down as one of the best books I’ve ever read and firmly plants The Spellmonger series at the top of a long list of incredible book series. I just wish I didn’t have long to wait for the next one, though it gives me time to read the whole series again.
Thank you.

I'll be honest and admit to picking this up purely because it was written by Nathan, an author who had taken me on some of my favourite literary adventures in the past. A chapter in and I knew I'd be reading this multiple times in the future and hopefully several sequels.

If you take no other advice from me in the future accept my suggestion that you read this whether you've read any of Nathan's other works before.

Amazing!

As someone who doesn't look at litRPG it was very unusual for me to pick this book up. I purchased the second installment after a few chapters and started that one as soon as this was finished... which happened very quickly. I haven't stayed up all night listening to a book for a long time but I just couldn't stop.
The narrator is fantastic, every character was given extra life and a very distinctive voice. Talia and Librarian Carr (spelling probably wrong due to only listening not reading) are perfect examples of this.
The relationships (while not completely unexpected) develop organically and don't feel forced and the worldbuilding is done in a way that the world grows with the story in a very natural way.

All in all this series is one that I'll keep and listen to multiple times and undoubtedly enjoy more and more. Can't wait for book 3 and I'm really hoping this turns into a long series as it has a huge amount of potential.

I very rarely look at litRPG books but stumbled across this series and I'm glad I did.
The author hasn't tried anything earth shattering, they've written two very good books and the narrator does a brilliant job of bringing the characters to life. Really looking forward to future entries in the series.

Honestly, each time John changes up the MC for a novel I think, "this is the shark", each time I am more than happy to be wrong.

C.A.E.C.O is different, while we know her and have a good idea about what her abilities are she is still finding her way and trying to fit in. Her abilities help to show what her team thinks about her, feelings that are enhanced because of their fear and distrust of her because of those abilities. She has her allies, but still feels excluded. Similar to how Declan felt during HAMMER OF GOD, reinforcing the reason why they were together in the beginning while also showing why they aren't now. This is a part of John's writing that draws me in, subtle references to thoughts and feelings from previous books. Instead of 3 pages devoted to telling you to remember, subtle cues bring back the memories.

Unlike ROGUES this feels like it could be the first "backdoor pilot" of THE DEMON ACCORDS, I would really love to see more books following Caeco Jensen. If I could have one... minor grumble, I'd like to "see" more of her enhancements during combat. This girl has claws! She shouldn't just use them to climb or cut tape. Plus I'm sure there are some other goodies tucked away in the Jensen Suite of Tricks. Her mother does good work.

Again, thank you for another adventure John, we definitely have an 'Avenger' ready to join the team for the coming battle, hope there are more to come. I'll say it again, I'd read books on paint drying if you wrote them but I'm always grateful for another DA novel.
