I really wanted to like it, but very disappointing.

The narrators are great. The story could've been good but the FC was extremely childish and immature and with very low self esteem. Most of the book is about comparing herself to her sister and making immature decisions. Made the story unbearable. If I would've know that most of the story was about childish actions of a child fiancee (yuck!), I wouldn't have wasted my credit.

I love the series!! I have read all the other Cross brothers' books and I couldn't wait for Carter's story. Unfortunately, I have to agree with some of the negative reviews, the main female character was just soo badly written! Such a week and phatetic female whose favorite words were "sorry and please" and cried through out the whole book...ruining the story! Carter's story deserved a better female! It was just unbelievable and painful to finish. I only made it to the end hoping for a change that never happened. The female narrator was over dramatic which made it worse. So sad!! Thankfully I have Audible Escape and didn't have to pay extra.
