Historia
Ernest Hemingway said, “All modern American literature comes from one book by Mark Twain called Huckleberry Finn". One hundred years after its author’s death, this classic remains remarkably modern and poignantly relevant. In this new edition, Elijah Wood reads Huck in a youthful voice that may be the closest interpretation to Twain’s original intent. His performance captures the excitement and confusion of adolescence and adventure.

Masterful Narration

Great book and great narrator.
Revisado: 08-26-24
Although it’s mainly a children’s book, it’s easy to get lost in this book. The narrator does a great job.

Historia
Steven Rinella (The MeatEater Podcast) and Clay Newcomb (MeatEater's Bear Grease podcast) gather listeners for a new round of stories, this time drawing from the lives of the rugged Long Hunters, who include such figures as Daniel Boone, Henry Skaggs, and Kasper Mansker. These were the commercial hunters and trappers who explored and exploited the First Far West, the land across the Appalachian Mountains, in the era between the Seven Years War and the American Revolution—one of the most fabled periods of American history.

A very good and interesting account.
Revisado: 01-24-24
While a short review of the period and it’s characters, this was a well thought out, researched, and performed account. I’m looking forward to more along the same lines from this source.

A good account of the battle.
Revisado: 01-02-24
It was a good account of the battle. Not exactly captivating, but certainly educational. It was a bit robotic and not exciting as many of these civil war accounts seem to be. It relayed the information, but that’s about it.

OUTSTANDING! I'M PROUD TO BE A BLACK AMERICAN!!
- De The Louligan en 08-22-13
A thorough account.
Revisado: 12-05-23
I enjoyed the book and thought it was very informative. I found it hard to follow however and the lines blurred a lot. I would’ve like it if the author would’ve been more clear about the names of the battles and their geography. All in all it was good and I am continuing on to the following two books in the series.

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

I absolutely loved everything about this book/performance.
You should pair this book with listening to the Bear Grease podcast “Conman” series on the author Forrest(Asa) Carter.
