Not about a man being haunted
Revisado: 07-08-23
This has an awesome premise, and I really wanted to like it. I didn't mind the author's political views, and enjoyed some of the discussion and his points even when my views differed. Unfortunately, there was very little story injected into the discussions of political views. in the end, I finished all but the last hour, hoping for a good story before I gave up. I'd love if he tried again with a bigger focus on the story and plot.

Revisado: 01-08-22
I can't wait to hear the next one. it's a fun listen and it's complex enough to keep you guessing, but the author also ties all of the different storylines together, so you wonder how all of these characters will interact.

Discussing everything from the meaning of the Second Amendment to the stated rules around Supreme Court nominations, Sheehan walks us through the entire Constitution, from its preamble to its final amendment. He also offers a bonus section on the Declaration of Independence. Extra-credit information throughout on things like amendments that were never passed and what powers elected officials actually have, gives listeners all the information they need to be informed and effective voters and citizens.

Wow, I am very very impressed!
Revisado: 12-08-21
I didn't know what to expect in this book, and started with low expectations; expecting something surface level or politically biased.
I am so impressed with this book.
The book breaks down the Constitution in digestible pieces, extends to the Amendments and the Declaration of Independence, and integrates in key historical facts.
The author does a great job calling out facts, context -- especially when sections changed by future Amendments, etc., and his opinion. While I didn't agree with all of his opinions, they were well reasoned, provided respectfully, and clearly identified as opinion.
What a great read!

“I have sensed a disturbance in the Force.” Ominous words under any circumstances, but all the more so when uttered by Emperor Palpatine. On Batuu, at the edges of the Unknown Regions, a threat to the Empire is taking root - its existence little more than a glimmer, its consequences as yet unknowable. But it is troubling enough to the Imperial leader to warrant investigation by his most powerful agents: ruthless enforcer Lord Darth Vader and brilliant strategist Grand Admiral Thrawn.
