Historia
A family of four murdered in their hotel room. A single mother and her boyfriend both stabbed to death. A sordid history of violent crimes, repeated over and over - but decades apart. Olivia Barker is a therapist with no connection to the murders. But she has heard things. Stories that keep her up at night. Details that only a killer would know. A killer who could be one of her patients…Olivia has no proof for her suspicions. But as the body count rises, so do her fears. A rock is thrown through her window, her car tires are slashed, a chilling message is scrawled on her bathroom mirror.

Worth Every Second
Revisado: 05-16-24
I don’t usually post reviews but must post on this one. I couldn’t stop listening to this book. The plot and the twists kept me guessing until the reveal. You won’t be disappointed. I enjoyed this narrator too. Very nicely done.

Historia
Leigh Collier has worked hard to build what looks like a normal life. She has a good job as a defense attorney, a daughter doing well in school, and even her divorce is relatively civilized - her life is just as unremarkable as she’d always hoped it would be. But Leigh’s ordinary life masks a childhood that was far from average...a childhood tarnished by secrets, broken by betrayal, and finally torn apart by a devastating act of violence.

Trigger Warning
Revisado: 08-21-23
As always, a gripping story — would make a great movie. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is due to the completely unnecessary Covid references, male bashing and digs at conservatives. Such references and comments accomplished nothing in the telling of the story and seemed like the author just sprinkling in her own political bias. Luckily, I was hooked before all of that BS. I wish every author, actor, singer, athlete, etc. didn’t have the need to shove their politics down everyone’s throat.

Would have enjoyed it but…

This book started out interesting but morphed into a pro-abortion love fest. Couldn’t listen any more.

Historia
It was the summer of her Chevette, of J.P. and letting her hair grow. It was also the summer when, without warning, popular high school student Kim Larsen disappeared from her small midwestern town. Her loving parents, her introverted sister, her friends and boyfriend must now do everything they can to find her. As desperate search parties give way to pleading television appearances, and private investigations yield to personal revelations, we see one town's intimate struggle to maintain hope.

True to Life
Revisado: 09-28-21
I am the mother of a missing child. She was 26 when she disappeared eight years ago. One reviewer said this book was boring. I found it to be very close to what my life has been like for the last eight years. I found myself closely identifying with the parents’ feelings. Life goes on but there is always a piece of my heart missing.
