Historia
It happened on a frigid winter night. First, a sudden moment of terror. Then, a frantic search to find a costumed killer. “Internal Affairs,” Dateline’s next original podcast series, takes us to northern Colorado, and into an obsessive and deadly romantic affair. Reported by Josh Mankiewicz, it’s a story about bad choices, a fatal attraction and men and women who proudly wore badges at work--while living lies at home. And when the day of reckoning came, the people with the badges had to investigate their own. Listen to all episodes of Internal Affairs now completely free, or subscribe ...

Great story, well produced
Revisado: 05-29-24
I was hesitant to listen to this because I watch a lot of Dateline and assumed it would follow the standard formula used on the TV show. I was pleasantly surprised that this podcast took a unique approach with a unique story, touching on the various stories weaved into a murder.

Incredible stories, but horrible Audible presentation
Revisado: 04-08-24
I'm on season 5 of this podcast and the story lines are very well done and researched and narrated. But Audible really undercuts the journalism done here (and on many other podcast...presenters? platforms? media platforms producing multiple seasons and stories within a single entity?) by forcing the media into a very clunky interface that presents all seasons in a single flow, and no matter what I do, between my 3 devices, it always reverts to the season 1 teaser.
Anyways. Hoping Audible gets better user experience, because then this podcast would be a TEN! I'm giving it 5 stars across the board because these UX issues aren't the podcasters' fault.

Stunning story
Revisado: 04-03-24
I never followed the Zappos story, but this is a crazy, fascinating, tragic story of a modern delusion. I would give this 5 stars across the board, but — and I hate to say this — because it's such an....aMeRiCaN story, the British pronunciations (starting with Barack Obama) and the extremely cold, unempathetic interviewing of the homeless women convince me that there could have been a better narrator.

Great story, great journalism, but inverse episodes!!
Revisado: 02-01-24
This is a great story! Great production, great narration, but it's such a petty inconvenience that the episodes are uploaded in inverse order, so instead of Audible smoothly playing episode 1-10, it plays 10-1 😭 we love a bingable podcast, but not when it's glitchy

The average song is three and a half minutes long; those three and a half minutes could lead to a slow blink, a glimpse of the past, or catapult the soul into heart-shattering nostalgia. At the height of my career, I had the life I wanted, the life I’d always envisioned. I’d found my tempo, my rhythm. Then I received a phone call that left me off key. You see, my favorite songs had a way of playing simultaneously. I was in love with one man’s beats and another’s lyrics. But when it came to the soundtrack of a life, how could anyone choose a favorite song?
