Really enjoyed this book and it’s characters and storyline. Just could never get past the assumption that “everyone in the world” received a box. Why? How? Who? It didn’t hinder my enjoyment of the book, but the improbability of that single event kept ringing in my ear.

Loved the characters and loved the authenticity of this family with all of its flaws and grace. Took careful turns and wove a splendid novel of human love and human frailty. I’ll never forgive Williams parents though!

You just never know these days about truth and who’s truth is true. All I know is the monarchy is a business of great magnitude. Harry seems to have discovered “life” outside the palace walls and realized the smothering,stifling, oppressive world he was raised in. His mother’s death was ultimately his ticket to be free from the crazy! I believe every story of the hounding and never ending quest for money he tells of the “Paps!” We normal folk cannot begin to understand the gilded cage some live in. He seems like a gentle and kind soul who has flown away. Hope he stays safe. His dad is a lost cause as he is long in the tooth of the crazy. Hope his brother comes around, but then he’s been groomed to continue the pattern….. sigh
Harry should be so lucky to be the “Spare” One day he may just see it that way?

Chosen as our book club choice for the month, I was expecting to enjoy the creative weaving of Lincoln and Holmes. What I wasn’t expecting was the beautiful writing, Christian fabric and the relationships of Abraham, Watson and young Eddie. I found this novel remarkable and can’t wait to discuss it with my book club!
