Revisado: 01-15-25
This book gives a direct view of the puritans and Indians. It is amazing to realize how even with the word of God in their midst, they missed the whole point of the great mystery of God towards mankind through his Son. This book gives such a view. It beckons everyone who loves God, to truly follow 1 Corinthians 13.

Historia
In Toxic Empathy, Allie Beth Stuckey argues that empathy has become a tool of manipulation by left-wing activists who bully people into believing that they must adopt progressive positions to be loving. She explores the five most heated issues through which toxic empathy is deployed: abortion, gender, sexuality, immigration, and social justice. Progressives use catchy mantras to present their perspective as empathetic, like “abortion is healthcare,” “love is love,” or “no human being is illegal,” but in each case, they ignore the other side of the moral equation.

A must listen to!
Revisado: 11-12-24
I love how Ms Stuckey elaborates in such important truths, aligning each agenda with the biblical world view. These truths are self evident and much needed for human survival. Empathy is coming along side someone in help, feeling what they feel but having to help even if it hurts. Because thats where the healing comes in! Thank you so much for writing this book!

Historia
Between his work on the 2014 Audible Audiobook of the Year, Hamlet, Prince of Denmark: A Novel, and his performance of Classic Love Poems, narrator Richard Armitage ( The Hobbit, Hannibal) has quickly become a listener favorite. Now, in this defining performance of Charles Dickens' classic David Copperfield, Armitage lends his unique voice and interpretation, truly inhabiting each character and bringing real energy to the life of one of Dickens' most famous characters.

One of the best
Revisado: 12-26-23
I had always wanted to read this book. Listening to it was amazing. The characters come alive through the pen of Mr. Dickens. The narration is beautifully done. This is a story that shows and reveals the choices that we can make no matter what life brings us in our childhood, and in our past. We all have the desire to make the best choices in life.

The gravity of misgivings
Revisado: 05-15-23
Poor Tess. While beautiful, sentimental, truthful, kind and honest suffered at the hands of one who was prideful, one who was righteous and one who was selfish and viscous. This story shows the heart of a true heroine who places others above herself.

Historia
No one is better at surviving than Scarlet St. Claire and making the best out of circumstances beyond her control is Scarlet’s specialty. In an apocalyptic situation, she’d be the last person on earth, hermitting like a pro, singing along to her CD Walkman, and dancing like no one is watching. Scarlet is clever, Scarlet is careful, and Scarlet is smart...except when it comes to Billy Winston. No one is better at fighting than Billy Winston and raging against his circumstances - because nothing is beyond his control - is Billy’s specialty.

Watch out
Revisado: 02-02-23
This lighthearted story. I like how Penny gives a glimpse of life in the southern states of America. Nicely done. In this story the author also gives a glimpse of what it’s like to live with OCD. Also very nicely done. This is a romance book…and it literally leaves nothing g to chance. I’ve read one other book. I love the stories and characters. It’s lovey and at times funny. But boy…somewhere in the middle when the two lovers converge, the reader get hit with a porn bomb! If you’re into that sort of thing, then you’ll enjoy. If not watch out! I found myself skipping through a lot of content. ….just saying.

Historia
Set in the industrialising England of the Napoleonic wars, a period of bad harvests, Luddite riots, and economic unrest, Shirley is the story of two contrasting heroines and the men they love. One is the shy Caroline Helstone, trapped in the oppressive atmosphere of a Yorkshire rectory, whose life represents the plight of single women in the 19th century. The other is the vivacious Shirley Keeldar, who inherits a local estate and whose wealth liberates her from convention.

Captivating window of time
Revisado: 02-02-23
This story takes into account a time in the life of a community. It is in the Brontë style of including upper and lower classes and how they are brought together. Each class is shown their pride and zeal for life as they toil daily to survive. There are many characters and taking a role in the community. The heroine is bold but it is nice to see the roles of men and women and how each affectionately respect the other. The hero is also bold, but made to rethink his station and purpose for himself and others. The language wonderfully displays the characters and their schemes. And it allows for a poetic play in words and morals.

Historia
Probably the most shocking of the Brontës' novels, this novel had an instant and phenomenal success and is widely considered to be one of the first sustained feminist novels. A mysterious widow, Mrs. Helen Graham, arrives at Wildfell Hall, a nearby old mansion. A source of curiosity for the small community, the reticent Helen and her young son Arthur are slowly drawn into the social circles of the village.

The Tenant

This is a remarkable story. The sense of redemption, morality love and the sense of responsibility portrayed is wonderful.
It was a little hard to follow the narrator. I often wondered which character was speaking.
