I like how the story goes into the inner workings of both factions on the planet. It's short and fast, but if you're a fan of either faction I think its a great story.

Nothing is really explained for the major points of this first book. The MC is a princess. Is this the Villainess? Probably. How is she a villain? No explanation. She's overpowered. How? Not explained. The real Villain is doing bad, why? I don't think this was really explained at all. I'm assuming all of this is explained in the second book. The Princess probably gets a rating. Like how the Title says she is SS (yea this also just doesn't happen in the first book).

What this book does really well is the communication and banter. It's what saved this whole book from just being a fever dream of unexplainable plot movements. The MC doesn't even know what she's really doing. She's almost pulling an Inspector Clouseau / Mr Bean walk through where everything is falling into place whilst she is a hurricane of "out-of-touchedness" if I could use a term.

So it's a well done comedy by a great VA. The story line is just annoying if you start asking any questions.

This was just a very disappointing lul in the story. I feel this whole "book" could've been summed up in 2-3 chapters in a better installment in the series. The VA did a great performance as always though.

I can't knock this book on anything. The story, the pacing, the characters. It all was really well done. The narration needs an extra bravo with how well it was done. This is going to be one of the top books I recommend for now on when trying to introduce litrpgs to my friends.

Fun idea for a story with the most insufferable characters.

Monster transformation is a really cool and fun premise for a story. However, I bet half of the text of this is the main character complaining or crying. It is constantly the inner whiny machinations of the most stereotypical, naive, terminally online, California high school girl. You have a picture in your head of exactly who I am describing when you read that. Now imagine that person making the worst possible decisions whilst complaining about having to make them.

Numerous times through my work shift I have gotten annoyed with the story and just stopped it just to listen to the sounds of my workplace machinery. I tell myself, "it can't just be the most annoying college Leftist thought processes the whole time, this monster thing has to progress". Just to try to give it another hour or two and no. Still panic attacks, bad decisions, and crying.

It is really well performed by the VA and I have no complaints there. I just feel bad she had to read it all out loud.

I love all the characters and story/world building, but the main characters' monologs were unnecessarily annoying throughout. I get it. We say curses when things aren't going our way, but this is comically silly. More time was spent on odd buildup for the MC to be saying curses than the actual curse word itself. Every time it happened (a lot) I just felt myself shrinking my neck and squinting my eyes for the entire ridiculous monolog curse the MC had. The MC feels like he was written by a teenager, and every other character was written by an adult.

I also feel this book could've benefitted with dual narration. Having a male internal dialog and trying to imagine a female vocalalized speech got old fast. Having a woman narrator for the numerous women's voices and the MCs but also having a man's narrator for the general story and males' voices would've made this feel so much better.
