Transformative support: I highly recommend for all providers interested in topics presented!
Revisado: 03-22-24
Being a member of the Association of Pulmonary Advanced Practice Providers (APAPP) has been a game-changer for me and my practice in pulmonary medicine. My expectations are that I am able to walk into a patient room with confidence after listening to the topic presented. The resources, support, and collaboration opportunities provided by APAPP are invaluable and difficult to find elsewhere. I highly recommend it, and this podcast, to any provider working in pulmonary medicine who wants to stay at the forefront of their field and make a real difference in patient outcomes. My only wish is for more episodes!

Excellent & comprehensive info simplified!
Revisado: 06-17-23
This is an easy to listen to podcast that breaks information down to what you need to know in a simplified format. I needed a diabetes management refresher since being out of primary care for four years. It solidified my confidence to provide excellent care to my very next patient. This has been my experience with their other podcasts as well. It also has the perfect amount of entertainment as well. I highly recommend!

Historia
In this episode, Jan Griffin MD and Michelle Kittleson MD discuss diagnosis of amyloidosis, including the recommended algorithm and pitfalls. What questions do you typically ask when looking for ‘red flags’ for cardiac amyloidosis in a patient you are seeing for the first time in clinic, and what do you tend to look for on exam, labs, ECG and echo that would make you suspect amyloidosis as the cause of heart failure? An excellent short discussion that takes my high level knowledge of the recommended amyloidosis diagnostic work up to a new level. I can read an article or algorithm, but this additional dialogue and insight is invaluable. It really helps it click. The first episode was excellent and concise as well. Looking forward to the 3rd podcast in this series. Thank you!

Historia
Once again, David Sedaris brings together a collection of essays so uproariously funny and profoundly moving that his legions of fans will fall for him all over again. He tests the limits of love when Hugh lances a boil from his backside, and pushes the boundaries of laziness when, finding the water shut off in his house in Normandy, he looks to the water in a vase of fresh cut flowers to fill the coffee machine.

Different, unexpectedly enjoyable!
Revisado: 10-02-17
Not sure exactly what made me purchase this book but I am glad I did. I enjoyed hearing his stories as well as his thoughts on various things (what would a certain person consider a dress up occasion). I laughed often! Lots of profanity so I had to be careful where I had it playing which I did not notice until I had it playing aloud at work during lunch one unusual day. I will have to try another of his books for sure!

On Tuesday, October 9, 2012, when she was fifteen, she almost paid the ultimate price. She was shot in the head at point-blank range while riding the bus home from school, and few expected her to survive. Instead, Malala's miraculous recovery has taken her on an extraordinary journey from a remote valley in northern Pakistan to the halls of the United Nations in New York.

Malala is Inspiring! The Story Shocking!
Revisado: 07-17-16
I enjoyed learning about her experience, culture, and religious views. It is shocking to hear the treatment of citizens there and a government that ignores the actions of the Taliban and supporters. My heart goes out to her and her country as they have a difficult fight ahead since the government allows such things and freedom of speech and women's rights are not recognized there. That certainly makes advocacy for girls rights and any kind of change an uphill battle. I cannot imagine. She is making a difference and is someone we can be proud of and support.

At the same time, Mary Mallon - Typhoid Mary, was leading a life she had built starting as a 15-year-old Irish immigrant as a successful cook for New York's wealthy, powerful and important families.

Good story & educational

I enjoyed the story, loved the narration, and learning a little about typhoid. Learning about the detective work involved in the discovery process of how it is spread as well as how they treated Mary was fascinating.
