I like this type of world where there’s a game system in place already. So you don’t have people coming in from another world, trying to figure out the system. Instead you’re learning about characters who’ve grown up with the system and are trying to work it to their advantage

Awesome story, not so good narration

The whole concept of the story (very Independence Day) is pretty cool. I’m about halfway through now and the only thing I’m having trouble with is the narrator. She’s relatively dry, which I can reconcile to keep listening, but her voices for the other characters are AWFUL!! Almost to the point where I’m laughing at how absurd she sounds. Halfway through I just want to beg her to read the whole darn thing in her normal voice.

Excellent twists and turns

When I first started this book I thought “ok..but that’s it? This is Koontz for Pete’s sakes..Ohhh wait!” 😂 whatever I was expecting to happen, it never turned the way I thought. Fully engrossed and fully happy with the ending.

The accent of death

I’ve read all of these books and they’re fun, funny and unique. The narrator and her southern accent🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I Can NOT. I got 15 minutes in and had to turn it off, frustrated. Our main character is suppose to be a cautious 29 year old and this woman sounds like a 45 year old soccer mom who’s reading aloud to children. So disappointed

I wasn’t sure what I expected, starting this book. I definitely wasn’t expecting to sit in my bathrobe at 3 am, listening, dying to know what would happen next!! Very well done

Funny Ramblings

I loved this audiobook! Our main charachter is quirky, witty, and goes off on the most humerous tangents in her inner monologue. I laughed out loud!

I really loved reading this book for the first time, and was dissapointed in the movie. Listening to the audiobook was just like i imagined it in my head when i read it to myself!
Worth the credit!

horribly narrated

Ugh! I absolutly love Julie Garwoods books, but this narrator did "voices" that were reminiscent of Winnie the Pooh. I could not get past her awful accent and constant change in vocal pitch.
