Historia
In one of the most compelling combat narratives ever written, Staff Sergeant David Bellavia, an Army infantry platoon leader in Iraq, gives a teeth-rattling, first-hand account of 11 straight days of heavy house-to-house fighting during the climactic second battle of Fallujah. His actions in the firefight, which included killing five insurgents in hand-to-hand combat, earned Bellavia the Bronze Star, the Silver Star, and New York state's highest military honor, the Conspicuous Service Cross.

I am an old grunt that red this book for the first time when I was in basic. This book motivated me. Together, I’ve read it 3 times and listened to it once. Great job SSG Bell.

Too much
Revisado: 03-28-22
Out of all the male leads in your books, this was by far the one that crossed the line. Simply put, the language Chris used throughout the book too speak to Izzy was overboard. I get it, he was trying to be an asshole but, it was too much and not necessary. It doesn’t make sense that Efram, Joshua and Eric would have allowed him to go that far with his language toward her. Again, I’m all the other books and series you’ve written the guys are very similar but Chris was way off.

A first!
Revisado: 08-30-20
This is the first book in the series (I’ve listened to every one in order on audible) that did not keep my attention. On more than one occasion I caught myself spacing out only to come back too with no idea what I just heard. I constantly had to rewind. The story was just weak to me. On to the next one though. I like this guys narration the best though.

Historia
Set in present-day Los Angeles, Junk explores an epic conspiracy, one at work for thousands of years that involves total takeover of the planet Earth by aliens. In the wild, souped-up vision of Les Bohem - the acclaimed, Emmy-winning writer of the Steven Spielberg miniseries, Taken - the world is at the end stage of long-range plot that involves a gigantic genetic-engineering project. The aliens who have invaded us have no planet. No spaceship is coming. Instead, a small advance force comes, breeds, and dies - thus becoming an anomaly in our DNA that can’t be explained.

Historia
The retired four-star general and and best-selling author of My Share of the Task shares a powerful new leadership model. Former General Stanley McChrystal held a key position for much of the War on Terror, as head of the Joint Special Operations Command. In Iraq, he found that despite the vastly superior resources, manpower, and training of the US Military, Al Qaeda had an advantage because of its structure as a loose network of small, independent cells. To defeat such an agile enemy, JSOC had to change its focus from efficiency to adaptability.

Fantastic
Revisado: 02-12-19
This was a fantastic book to go along with a fantastic read by the narrator. I was able to listen at 1.25X speed and it sounded crystal clear. As an Army infantry vet I appreciated this book because from my point of view in Iraq things were very different. I wasn’t apart of this task force but I was part of the big picture. My experience with leadership and teams was very top down as mentioned in the book, it would have been neat to be apart of a different structure like what the task force had. This book is very relevant to corporate America, at least in my opinion.

Great
Revisado: 11-15-18
As a man in a male dominated industry I work with very few women. The women I do work with are all great but after listening to this book I realized that they make a lot of these mistakes. Because I respect the women I work with, I’ll recommend this book as a good read.
I also am a father to two daughters under the age of four and am married to a wonderful woman who happens to work full time as a stay-at-home mom and wife. Coming from a childhood with a dad who worked and a mom who stayed at home as well as similar family structures in extended family groups I know first hand of the mentality that goes along with being a woman in these homemaker roles. My wife and I talk all the time about NOT wanting to raise our daughters who will be our only kids to be “nice girls”. I don’t want my babies to aspire to being a stay at home parent, not that there is anything against it. If that is their choice later in life so be it, as long as they’re happy. This book opened my eyes to tons of ways I can start implementing beliefs and habits with my girls.
I really appreciated this book.
Thanks
