Has potential, but the mc is hard to like

This one is kinda tough to get through. i get it, the mc needs to grow and get better, but the mc is bordering hard on the incompitent scale here, to the point where i had to take breaks from the book due to the mc' idiocy

Loved book 1+2, 3 not so much

As the title says, the first two books were great, loved the slow building of the world and characters, even the MC was good, not great, but so far removed from most of the awful mc this genre seems to be mostly represented by. This book however, took a sharp turn for the worse for me. The MC went from a fresh breath of air to your avrage anime-harem-protag, lost his agency and spine in one book. without too many spoilers, the mc ends up as prettymuch a support character in his own story, and every combat scene, except for one he is hiding behind his wall of women, which, would be fine if he did anything else but buff people. this turned into yet another human pokemon story, which is such a stupid concept, id rather have a mc that can stand on his own two feet without having to be propped up by the women around him, thats just the combat aspect, but we are also seeing the mc going from having some spine, to none at all unless its about his women, dude its okay to get pissed on your own behalf, otherwise you kinda turn into a doormat, which is the feeling im left with regarding the mc. shame, because this had such potential for me, especially concidering this is a woman ruled world your building, could have had the mc rail against the genderroles and realise he had to make compromises, and bring up parallels with our current world and how women had been through this exact dilema. all in all, im honnestly dissapointed in this book, but again this is just my point of view

Your avrage weakminded harem protag

wanted to like this story, but the mc is as the title says your avrage weak mc, that cannot do shit without his romance, tons of anime protag tropes too, as the mc has to be the weakest link both mentaly and physiaclly as well, such a overused theme. And ofcourse no agency in the mc, has to get acceptance from his romantic intrest, or he wont act, instead he'll let the OBVIOUS bad guy do whatever he wants...

only thing missing here is that the mc decides killing people is wrong because: killing -> bad.

Worst Main-character ever made, congrats

Im covinced the authors of this book truly wanted to make the worst main character ever, and they've defintly achived it. MC is the worst kind of pushover and simp, the worse he is treated the more he likes whomever is treating him like shit, he can only think with his dick. falls for every obvious trap, has the iq of a rock. Seems he is only able to have romantic intrest in women whom want to kill him / tourture him. And no pride to be found here, he just takes EVERYTING with a smile.

TD;LR: the mc is a clown of the worst kind.

Blath the cowardly barbarian would be a better title for this book.

At the start of book 1, Blath was portraied as a complete badass barbarian, however, since his rebirth its like he is experiencing the opposite of character building, his favorite move seems to be to hide and do nothing, so his opponents can have the upper hand in every fight...the way combat is written is also a letdown, he is a barbarian, having ranged opponents whop his ass in close combat makes the MC look pathetic...

Good story, useless mc

Loved the first book, but this one i found to be hard to enjoy, simply because the mc is useless, author is digging DEEP into the anime harem MC. (no spine, barley ever has a opinion of his own, and for a so-called criminal enforcer, has trouble killing his enemies, often stands by and lets his opponent make the first move, the list is so long i cant be bothered to actually type it all out) Instead of running some character building with vince, the author is doing the opposite. There is no reason why women are fawning over this idiot. Oh and to top it of the mc has no self confidence (not that he really should have any with how bland he is)

Even the voice actor cant save this book for me, eve though she does amazing work as always.

its really a shame, cause the world building and story is great, however as mentioned, it doesnt really matter when the mc is so frustrating.

Alvin the glorified cab-driver

what the title says, alvin has since the 3rd book been marginalized to the point where he is now just a cavfriver, he is hardly making any of his own decisions anymore either, its like the author just grew tired of the mc and started focusing on gothy and turning her into the mc instead, which is a shame, because i actually liked alvin as a mc

MC being the weakest link again

I dont get why this author absolutley has to have the mc as the weakest link, he is weaker than the PET that the healer has, are you kidding me?! And the constant blushing and flustered MC is disgusting, come on dude, thats some incel level stuff, i get it the mc isnt grown up, but he has a harem, the MC you are portraying would have been laughed out of the school if not for the plotarmor this MC is hiding behind, the author needs to take a close look at the MC's he is creating, because it is hard to actually like the books when the worst part of every book he writes is the MC, and for the love of god, get rid of Harley, the character is not endearing, i basicly want to skip every time she opens her mouth.

Dissapointed with this series

Not a huge fan of this series, loved the authors other stories, but the mc in this series is incredibly dissapointing. The way he is portraied he is the definition of clumsy in every fight, has to be saved by the other team mates 9/10 times, loosing his weapon over and over, being the underdog in every fight to the point where he just seems weak compared to an avrage human, and ofcourse the stupid trait that the MC cant get angry unless one of his romantic intrest is hurt or in danger is beyond annoying. The over all plot is great, but is overshadowed by the way the mc is portraied as the weakest link, which is becoming the normal for this genre, the reason i actually liked this author is because she seemed in her other series to make a balanced mc which was not the weak link, but not in this series :/

Apperantly the new style for bruce is basicly turning the op mc into a neutered support character, seriously, the mc is fucking up left and right and has to be saved at every turn, auther has been doing the same shit in his other series too
