Quite enjoyable

This was a very enjoyable listen for me. Not overly heavy and the narrator was very good. I enjoyed it enough that I'll be purchasing the hard copy of this title and looking for more audio books with the author/narrator combination.

Basic plot was good but fell short

The over all idea for the plot line was good, but it just fell short for me. I was tempted to just stop listening to it, but held out to the end. The narrator either mispronounced words often or the editing of the book failed to catch some things. Overall I'm glad this book was under ten dollars and I didn't waste a whole credit on it.

I don't think that the print version is out yet. Once it is, I'll buy it too.
What did you like best about this story?
I love it when Ms Parkerson adds new characters into the world she's created. And we got to visit with Mara as well.
Which scene was your favorite?
When Seb has Chase show him some of what he packed.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Seb tells Chase what his first three thoughts were when they first met.

It's a short story, but very enjoyable if you like Charity Parkerson's writing.

Wow! Freaking hot!
What did you like best about this story?
The way that Grady & Ryker slowly learn to trust each other with their deepest selves.
Which scene was your favorite?
The opening scene and one where Grady gets Ryker to tell him about his day are tied for first for me!
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Neither man was what the other was looking for. Then they found that the other was what they needed most.

I love this story. I re-listen to this entire series often, but this book is my favorite of them all!

What made the experience of listening to When a Beta Roars the most enjoyable?
The narrator of this book did a fairly good job of portraying humor of Eve Langlais' writing. Her humor and WTF moments are one of the main reasons that keep me coming back and revisiting her stories.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Hayder, the male lead, for sure! I loved his naughty comments and inner dialogue with his lion self.
What about Michael Rafkin’s performance did you like?
He did a fairly good job of getting the humor of Eve Langlais' writing to the listener.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes!
Any additional comments?
I really wish that this narrator was doing the whole series. It can be more than a bit disconcerting, distracting, and annoying when each book has a different narrator. The different accents and timing can throw the listener off as you tend to compare the narrations instead of enjoying a good book.
