Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

“That my love, is not a spare.”
Revisado: 01-24-23
The title I used above is from the final chapter in which Meg describes her feelings for Harry as she watches him help bring their daughter into the world, wanting to be the first thing she ever sees. The final chapter, so intimate and real sums up the entire book.
I found the book to be extremely respectful and gracious towards his family. Harry speaks candidly about his life, even the poor decisions he made and regrets he has.
Harry’s mum is mentioned in just about every chapter of the book; her loss so devastating for him.
It took him a long time to find Meg, and from what is portrayed in this book, she possess so many of Diana’s lovely qualities.
It made me happy for Harry to find a wife who is so much like the mother he adored.
I wish the book did not end! I thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with Harry; there is nothing better than hearing the author tell his or her own story.
Listening to that British accent never got old!

This was so relatable! Sometimes knowing you are not the only one who asks God “why?” Is encouraging. The book is very engaging and thought provoking.
I liked the author very much!

Revisado: 11-16-21
I felt like was with an old friend listening to this book. I never got bored. I am impressed with the amazing things Delilah has achieved; she has a heart for hurting people and TAKES ACTION to help. She is sooo much more than a sultry voice on the radio! She changes lives for so many people.
Delilah- I have no doubt God will say “Well done good and faithful servant.”

Are you weary? Worn out by the bills that keep stacking, a virus that keeps raging, or a heart that keeps aching? If so, the book of Esther brings welcome news: Relief will come! To be clear, you didn't ask for this struggle. You want to get past it. You don't know how much longer you can hold up. But what if God is with you in this difficult season? When life seems off the rails, remember this truth: the minute you bow your head to pray is the moment God lifts his hand to help.

Do you need hope?
Revisado: 11-10-21
I’ve been in a pit of depression from facing one storm after another. I’ve been praying, reading my Bible, have close to 90 books from Christian authors in my audible library. Just when I thought I couldn’t listen to one more book, I listened to this one. Max Lucado is one of my favorite authors.
When I saw this new book, I got it.
I’ve listen to it from start to finish today as I did things around the house. For the first time in a VERY long time I felt hope. This book would be great for anybody, BUT if you are going through a hard time right now you need to get this!!!!

Historia
People unfamiliar with Scripture often assume that women play a small, secondary role in the Bible. But in fact, they were central figures in numerous Biblical tales. It was Queen Esther’s bravery at a vital point in history which saved her entire people. The Bible contains warriors like Jael, judges like Deborah, and prophets like Miriam. The first person to witness Jesus’ resurrection was Mary Magdalene, who promptly became the first Christian evangelist, eager to share the news which would change the world forever.

One of the most encouraging folks I’ve ever listen to, particularly as a woman.
Revisado: 05-19-21
This book brought Jesus alive in a way that other books never have. Because the women spoken about in the book are so relatable it makes you realize that we are enough just as we are for Jesus to accept us, speak to us and use us.
So well done!

Insightful!!!
Revisado: 08-07-20
Mary Trump's personal account of her family, focusing on her grandfather, Fred Trump, who measured the worth of people, even his own children, by his skewed perception of success, which contributed to a family riddled with dysfunctionality. At times, the cruelty inflicted by several family members, towards "their own" is unfathomable; "money can't buy happiness" reigns true in this story: a story that explains
the legacy of narcissistic tendencies that seem to plague our current president.
Thankfully, God is ultimately in control of all things! Pray for the president, his family, the United States and the world.....that love, peace, respect and integrity towards others, would be THE defining benchmarks of success.

Historia
How does one deal with the pain of divorce, with death, with poverty, with violence, with the everyday problems of life, she wondered. So, she asked.... One early morning just nine months after she and her husband of 27 years had separated, Pam Carlquist inadvertently began a dialogue that would change her life forever. In a moment of desperation, she sat down with pen and paper and cried out to God for help. To her surprise, she received an answer, a response so comforting and so wise that she continued the correspondence for over a year, indeed forevermore.

Could not connect with this book.
Revisado: 09-28-19
I had difficulty committing to listening to the first few chapters, when from the first few minutes I knew this was not going to be helpful to me.
The format of the book is presented as the author speaking to God, and God speaking back. Two narrators are used, (both of which I found annoying) and they go back and forth in a continuos conversation that seemed light and breezy. I could not connect the level of pain I am feeling to this material; material that came across as a well intended cliche of encouragement. Perhaps the book is better being read in the traditional manner as opposed to the audiobook? It was a labored listening experience.
