Historia
After the loss of her mother and her own battle with breast cancer, Joanna Teale returns to her graduate research on nesting birds in rural Illinois, determined to prove that her recent hardships have not broken her. She throws herself into her work from dusk to dawn, until her solitary routine is disrupted by the appearance of a mysterious child who shows up at her cabin barefoot and covered in bruises. Excellent but...
Revisado: 04-24-19
Enjoyed the book; the story had enough mystery to keep me interested. I enjoyed the mix of reality and fantasy. The negative thing was the incessant use of “Ursa said...” and “Gabe said...” or “she said...”. The narrator should have been able to keep the voices recognizable without that. May have been the fault of the author, but either way, I found it irritating and distracting.

Trilogy
Revisado: 01-12-19
I thoroughly enjoyed the last of three books written by Julie Klassen about Ivy Green. In fact I was sorry to come to the end of the story. The stories of the ladies of Ivy Green were very well written with grace and charm. It was refreshing not to have foul language or explicit sex to deal with. I appreciate an author who can tell an excellent story without either. I highly recommend these books.

A must read
Revisado: 06-01-18
This is an absolutely amazing true story which sounds like a fairy tale. Although Saroo says he is not a “religious” person, anyone who has faith knows that only an all powerful God could have orchestrated this beautiful story!

I so identified with feeling yet not wanting to verbally say what I felt. Truth is the secret to living.

An amazing story
Revisado: 07-20-16
This was truly a story for believers and non-believers alike. There is a lesson for everyone. I've been a Christ follower for 50 years and read much of the Bible but never studied the book of Hosea diligently. I must do so now! God has spoken to me through this book.
