This book was a waste of my time.
Revisado: 10-29-18
The first two books in this series were OK, but the Author decided to relate a drug induced trip with little substance or meaning. It all could have been summed up in a paragraph, rather than go on and on and on though flash backs and meaningless dribble. I learned nearly nothing from this mostly fill of a book. At this point, I will likely not read any more of this series. I'm very disappointed!

Historia
New York Times best-selling author William J. Bennett uses stories, essays, historical vignettes, and contemporary profiles to explore and explain what it means to be a man. Fashioning men has never been easy, but today it seems particularly tough. Boys need heroes to embody the everlasting qualities of manhood: honor, duty, valor, and integrity. Without such role models, boys will naturally choose perpetual childhood over the rigors of becoming a man-as many women, teachers, coaches, employers, and adults in authority can quickly attest.

What Every young man should learn
Revisado: 03-11-12
Where does The Book of Man rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This is a very long book because it is filled with a collection of many works and stories. Although very long, it is the Readers Digest Version of what it means to be a man. Bill does his best to give the reader many points of view while exposing the reader to the wisdom of God and Man about what makes us men.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
The reading was very good and clear. It is not a story, so it will bore those who are looking for that; but if you are seeking to improve your knowledge and understanding, this is an excellent book.

If you could sum up Getting to Yes in three words, what would they be?
Everyone needs this!
What does Dennis Boutsikaris bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The reading is clear concise and enjoyable.
What insight do you think you’ll apply from Getting to Yes?
Everyone needs to learn to Negotiate and this book is an excellent tutor. I would say every profession could benifit from this book, but especially those who must make decisions where there are more than one concerned party.

Historia
Hermann Kermit Warm is going to die. The enigmatic and powerful man known only as the Commodore has ordered it, and his henchmen, Eli and Charlie Sisters, will make sure of it. With The Sisters Brothers, Patrick deWitt pays homage to the classic Western....

Wonderful tale with great characters. loved it
Revisado: 01-31-12
What did you love best about The Sisters Brothers?
I love a story that has good characters and this certianly has them. These men have very hard edges and do as they please. Even though you know what they do is wrong, you still root for them. The setting in the gold rush of California is perfect and in the end provides a chance for the Sisters Brothers to escape the life that they both know is wrong.
What does John Pruden bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He does a wonderful job bringing out the characters from the book. Yes, I feel as if I know the Sister Brothers. The other characters in this story are also portrayed very well by John Pruden.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I felt guilty for laughing and then for wanting the Sisters Brothers to succeed. The story protrays a realistic view of the California Gold rush and the opportunist feeding off it.
Any additional comments?
I enjoyed the Audio book and would reccomend it highly.
