All over the world, brutal attacks are crippling entire cities. Jackson Oz, a young biologist, watches the escalating events with an increasing sense of dread. When he witnesses a coordinated lion ambush in Africa, the enormity of the violence to come becomes terrifyingly clear. With the help of ecologist Chloe Tousignant, Oz races to warn world leaders before it's too late. The attacks are growing in ferocity, cunning, and planning, and soon there will be no place left for humans to hide.

Cliches linked together by bad puns
Revisado: 06-13-15
I expected more from a Patterson novel. I winced through most of this book because of the writing. How much of it had to be actually written by Patterson in order to be able to advertise it as being by him?

Historia
Victoria McQueen has an uncanny knack for finding things: a misplaced bracelet, a missing photograph, answers to unanswerable questions. When she rides her bicycle over the rickety old covered bridge in the woods near her house, she always emerges in the places she needs to be. Vic doesn't tell anyone about her unusual ability, because she knows no one will believe her. She has trouble understanding it herself.

Riveting performance of a chilling story
Revisado: 09-16-13
What made the experience of listening to NOS4A2 the most enjoyable?
I enjoyed the story well enough, but it was the performance of Kate Mulgrew which made it so frightening and exciting.
What did you like best about this story?
It moved along very well. It was difficult to stop listening.
What about Kate Mulgrew’s performance did you like?
Kate Mulgrew was superb. I'm looking for more audiobooks performed by her.
Any additional comments?
After the first couple of chapters I was sure that Joe Hill was a pen name for Stephen King. I wasn't at all surprised to find they were so closely related. Stephen should worry. The king of horror may well be dethroned by the prince. :)

Read the description before buying.
Revisado: 10-18-12
Would you try another book from Diana Gabaldon and/or Davina Porter?
I had thought this was a scifi book, since that was where I chose it from. I generally don't read the publishers summary or people's reviews because they can contain spoilers. Wow, there was only one small bit that was interesting, and the rest was basically "run over here and have sex, go over there and have sex" and so on. If that's what you're looking for in a book, I salute you and say "this book is for YOU". If you're looking for anything else then look past this book and find another.
Would you ever listen to anything by Diana Gabaldon again?
NO
Have you listened to any of Davina Porter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, but she was good at telling the story.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment. I expected more witchcraft, and more story other than all the sex, and the S&M.
Any additional comments?
I want those hours of my life back!

Kill Me brings Alan Gregory face-to-face with the most challenging case of his career. As always, White's characters are indelible and the dialogue is dead-on, but Kill Me is fresh and thought-provoking in a way that's so uncommon in crime fiction.

Predictable ...
Revisado: 02-26-11
I could tell after listening to about 30 minutes of the book what was going to happen. I'd rather be surprised. Not many surprises in it. Most of the characters were unlikeable, especially the main one. Men will probably like him more than women. He's rich, powerful, handsome, and very arrogant. I can see how this book could easily be made into a movie. Seems like the author had that in mind when writing it.

Historia
The long-awaited new novel from Margaret Atwood. The Year of the Flood is a dystopic masterpiece and a testament to her visionary power. The times and species have been changing at a rapid rate, and the social compact is wearing as thin as environmental stability. Adam One, the kindly leader of the God's Gardeners - a religion devoted to the melding of science and religion, as well as the preservation of all plant and animal life - has long predicted a natural disaster that will alter Earth as we know it. Now it has occurred, obliterating most human life.

basically a story of armageddon
Revisado: 02-20-11
If you are an atheist you will not enjoy this audiobook very much. I expected religious undertones but it's mostly religious. Also there is singing in it, which detracts from the book. It's a shame, really, because it could have been much better. I would have given it 3 stars if not for the singing parts. I become part of the story and when there is music or sining in the narration it pulls me out.

Just so-so
Revisado: 04-19-09
This audiobook was great in spots but not so good
in the majority of it. Lots could have been cut
and it would have been a better book.
I agree with others that the narrator shouldn't
do women's voices. It was distractingly bad.
The book is worth a listen, though it's only
so-so.

This was probably the worst Patterson novels I've read. It seemed forced and hurried. Wish I could have my credit back, and the hours spent on this audiobook.
