Historia
I spent my life in service to my king, loyal to my queen, and loved by them both. Until she ruined me. Guinevere made her choice, and it wasn’t me. So, I sought out a way to fight the pain of losing her...of losing them both. Eternally languishing in purgatory was not what I had in mind. But now, hundreds of years later, I’ve been returned to life for a reason. The end times are here, and I’m the one chosen to help stop the apocalypse. I only wish the woman I’m bound to wasn’t the very one I’d tried to forget.

Loved it
Revisado: 11-22-20
My favorite of the series. I found it incredibly sweet and touching when Lancelot, Brooks and Guinevere finally came together. I wasn't expecting Guinevere to be such a saucy character given how she was portrayed in the first books and was pleasantly surprised at how she developed along side her knight and king.
The narrators were amazing as well. All books should be narrated in duet, it offers a way more immersive experience for the listener.

Historia
I live for the pain; it's what drives me to keep moving. I thought I was ready to finally live. Until...my brother, Alex; he throws me into the fire - right into the place I could never control myself, the one place I never want to be again. When I put my hands on people, they get hurt. Things happen that bring me back to that night. The one that will forever torment me. I'm doing fine, keeping to myself in order to ensure no one gets hurt by me. Then along comes Lyric, and all I want to do is touch her, to put my hands in places that I know will only lead to her being crushed by me.

Just okay
Revisado: 10-15-20
Narration ruined it. Whenever the male narrator was doing female voices it felt like the lollipop guild was making an appearance which made it hard to take it seriously as I kept laughing out loud. Female narrator was better but not great. I pushed through till the end though, story was okay, certainly not one of Ashley's best.

Historia
I need medicine to escape this reality - the pills, cocaine, and liquor aren't even enough to numb the pain of my past. Years without Jax destroyed me - ruined me forever - and being back in his life will only ruin him the same. I never meant to find him again, and I sure as hell never meant to want him just as much as I did before we were ripped apart. It doesn't matter that I need to stay away from him. Jax refuses to let me go. My biggest fear is destroying the only person I've ever been capable of loving, but he's not giving me any other choice....

Only about halfway through
Revisado: 10-13-20
Victoria Ashley's books are a guilty pleasure for me and so far I have enjoyed all the others I've listened too, but the narrators of this particular book are ruining it for me. I don't want to be mean but the female sounds like a computer generated voice when she is speaking as Alexandra, like Alexa or siri are reading, and her pronunciation can be a bit jarring. The male narrator's voice just isn't strong enough for the character(s), kind of a wimpy undertone. The way he does Royal and Jax makes me cringe, I don't mind how he reads Blane so much, but this isn't Blanes book. I will stay strong and listen to the end.

Historia
Syn has kept his side hustle as a mercenary a secret from the Black Dagger Brotherhood. When he takes another hit job, he not only crosses the path of the vampire race’s new enemy, but also that of a half-breed in danger of dying during her transition. Jo Early has no idea what her true nature is, and when a mysterious man appears out of the darkness, she is torn between their erotic connection and the sense that something is very wrong.

A great installment
Revisado: 09-21-20
This is one of my favorite installments in the BDB series. I find that some have very unnecessary side stories that take away from the main focus, cough cough.. The Thief, but this one stayed on point and wrapped up in an unhurried, satisfactory way that made me laugh out loud. I hope that Ward continues the story as I am excited to see what happens next.
My only complaint: Jim Frangione is an excellent narrator but I do wish that he would give the characters with accents, accents. The only one he covers is Butch and his South Boston tone. Syn is described as having a heavy, old world accent and there is no effort into giving him one. Other than that, I enjoy his narration.

Historia
Sola Morte, former cat burglar and safecracker, has given up her old life on the wrong side of the law. On the run from a drug lord’s family, she is lying low far from Caldwell. Her heart, though, is back up North, with the only man who has ever gotten through her defenses: Assail, who never meant to fall in love - certainly not with a human woman. But they have no future, and not just because she doesn’t know he is a vampire, but because he is not about to stop dealing arms to the Black Dagger Brotherhood. Fate, however, has other plans for them.

A bit rushed
Revisado: 09-06-20
I am a fan of Sola and Assail and was looking forward to their story, but unfortunately this felt very rushed, especially in the last chapters. I think the Jane and V parts could have been cast aside to allow more of an indepth look into Assail and Sola and the new threat that has arisen. Just felt like this book was missing details that are usually present in this series. I didn't hate this installment, but have found it lacking.
