Historia
Dame Sue Black is an internationally renowned forensic anthropologist and human anatomist. She has lived her life eye to eye with the Grim Reaper, and she writes vividly about it in this book, which is part primer on the basics of identifying human remains, part frank memoir of a woman whose first paying job as a schoolgirl was to apprentice in a butcher shop, and part no-nonsense but deeply humane introduction to the reality of death in our lives. It is a treat for CSI junkies, murder mystery and thriller fans, and anyone seeking a clear-eyed guide to a subject that touches us all.

I like Cecilias books, characters have that tiny bit of something special in them that makes them stand out. There's pain and happiness and they take you on a little journey into someone's world.

I have no words to describe this book. u found it deeply impactful. it was scary to get inside a head of a young German girl and scary to think how easy it was to brainwash these people bit by bit, one tiny step at a time and how easily it could happen again... beautiful book.

Historia
'You like it darker? Fine, so do I', writes Stephen King in the afterword to this magnificent new collection of twelve stories that delve into the darker part of life - both metaphorical and literal. King has, for half a century, been a master of the form, and these stories, about fate, mortality, luck, and the folds in reality where anything can happen, are as rich and riveting as his novels, both weighty in theme and a huge pleasure to listen to.

Historia
The CIA is looking for walking contradictions. Recruiters seek people who can keep a secret, yet pull classified information out of others; who love their country, but are willing to leave it behind to head into dangerous places; who live double lives, but can be trusted with some of the nation's most sensitive tasks. Michele Rigby Assad was one of those people. As a CIA agent, Michele soon found that working undercover was an all-encompassing job. The threats were real. The mission was a perilous one. Trained as a counterterrorism expert, Michele spent over a decade in the agency.

Good boy preachy
Revisado: 01-21-24
this woman has done some incredible work and the book is great. However I felt as if someone knocked on my door and tried to convert me to Christianity. I appreciate its her personal experience but for me it just goes way too far and it's too persistent. Give yourself some credit is not all God God God. Saying that, I'm glad I came across this book, I just wish there was less preaching.

Historia
These days, no one in America feels immune to violence. But now, in this extraordinary, groundbreaking book, the nation's leading expert on predicting violent behavior unlocks the puzzle of human violence and shows that, like every creature on earth, we have within us the ability to predict the harm others might do us and get out of its way. Contrary to popular myth, human violence almost always has a discernible motive and is preceded by clear warning signs.

Just gross
Revisado: 06-02-23
What is the point of all the unnecessary sex scenes? Don't get me wrong, I read a lot of true crime etc., but this was just annoying. Story is ok I guess, but did nothing for me. This is probably the worst review I've ever left.
