Just too crass for my prudish tastes!

I'm returning it between Mr. Hart's incredibly annoying voice and the F*** word every line, my head is filled with language and images I can't unsee. Good for Mr. Hart for rising above this incredibly sad life of poverty, parental addiction and ongoing abuse. I admire you, but I can't listen to anymore of it!

One - Grab a place at the table and jump into life with both feet! Two - Instead of looking for a mentor, take the lead and be responsible for making your own amazing life happen.
I listened to the top three minutes of every chapter only to encounter the underbelly of constant complaining. Sure, there are plenty of statistics to back up gender inequality. Do I need to invest another six hours of my life to talk about specific examples? I also had a hard time accepting that our collective failure to make progress as equals at home and work is due to our womanly Attitude of Servitude.
There's a lot of wonder in life whether you're a busy professional, a stay-at-home parent or both. Building community by bolstering each other with kindness will go a lot further than collecting gender slights.

What did you like best about this story?
Narrated by the author, the talented Kate Mulgrew. Her voice captures her essence - the strength and vulnerability perfectly. Her life is fascinating and I won't give away any secrets here!
Her intimate details made me feel as if I were standing in the room watching these scenes unfold in real time. I found myself holding my breath during her competitive auditions, crying over her many heartbreaks and cheering her love and passion for her work.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Never! This book is like a piece of the most delicate cake. I wanted to savor each bit of it until sadly, I reached the very end.

Read this book! Ben Goldacre uses stats, humor and facts in a riveting expose of some of our most recent health concerns. From the MMR vaccine scandals to current oncological trials, he dissects and explains how data can be secured, manipulated and sold to influence individuals and more importantly, public opinion.

I am a professional musician by training and I was delighted that I could follow the author's clear scientific arguments. It was obvious he was aiming for accessibility, yet he retained the meat of his cautionary tale.

I picked up this book because I thought it was a self-help book. I was delighted to find a story ensconced in Dan's practical application of Buddhism. This was a fun romp through one man's journey of self discovery. I highly recommend it.
