Awful
Revisado: 11-13-21
So awful. So horribly, ridiculously bad I am shocked it made it to publication. Made me yell at my phone several times that it was so bad before quitting it completely halfway through. Awful.

Pretty ok
Revisado: 05-20-19
I enjoyed the story for the most part. Had a very Nora Roberts kinda feel to it. But it felt like it lacked mystery or real conflict. Towards the end I found myself rolling my eyes a lot... Jack seemed a bit too perfect and just not real.

Historia
Daisy is a girl coming of age in LA in the late '60s, sneaking into clubs on the Sunset Strip, sleeping with rock stars, and dreaming of singing at the Whisky a Go Go. The sex and drugs are thrilling, but it’s the rock and roll she loves most. By the time she’s 20, her voice is getting noticed, and she has the kind of heedless beauty that makes people do crazy things. Also getting noticed is The Six, a band led by the brooding Billy Dunne.

Love this book!
Revisado: 04-12-19
I'm not really into classic rock and I don't love documentaries. I don't really care about famous people or to hear about living in excess. But this is one of those truly beautiful and unique stories to get excited about. I want to tell everyone I know to read this book. I want to buy it for them and put it in there hands so they feel obligated. I want to bug them to read fast because I have to talk about this. I was completely immersed in this band and the lives of these people. This was my first time with the full cast and it was fantastic. Really truly amazing. Every character was spot on and the delivery was so genuine that I FELT it. I have bookmarks all over the place of awesome lines... I never do that. I started it again as soon as it was over because I couldn't let them go. I wanted to hear the beginning again knowing the end. I want to buy the album. I want to find the vintage tshirt on ebay. I want to YouTube the SNL... But, sadly, they don't exist. Can't wait for the series.

Historia
It was a typical evening at a mall outside Portland, Maine. Three teenage friends waited for the movie to start. A boy flirted with the girl selling sunglasses. Mothers and children shopped together, and the manager at the video game store tended to customers. Then the shooters arrived. The chaos and carnage lasted only eight minutes before the killers were taken down. But for those who lived through it, the effects would last forever.

Good... But the end fizzled out.
Revisado: 07-09-18
I loved every second of this story... until the end. So much build up and expectation and then it happens in a blink and it's just a romance by the end. Disappointed, but it was good.

Great advice!
Revisado: 07-02-18
I came across this at the end of a year of huge transformation and seeking more ways to improve on myself. I have lost 55 pounds since this time last year and I find this advise to be spot on. I work in the vitamin/supplement industry and I'm constantly asked how to lose weight but find that no one actually listens to what I tell them... They just want the magic pill. This book is exactly what I did with a lot of added points that I wish I'd found a year ago. I'll definitely go back to listen to this on days that I struggle and would recommend to anyone who is interested in changing any part of themselves. My favorite tip was the 'But...' and I'm already find my brain using and loving that little thought changer. I think that the narrator did a fantastic job and kept my interest throughout this wonderful, quick little listen. Highly recommend!!

Great tips!
Revisado: 07-01-18
This is a quick listen that has quite a few great ideas to reduce clutter in your life. I'm always looking for ways to reduce and this book had some ideas that I know I'll use going forward. The narrator did an excellent job and kept my interest throughout the story. I don't often listen to non fiction so it took me a minute to get used to the different reading style. After I did, I thought her reading was well suited to the style of writing.

Best book that takes place on a bus I've ever read
Revisado: 11-14-17
I enjoyed this more than I expected to. The main characters were well developed in such a natural way that I was sucked into the story. The narrator was fantastic. My only critique would be the over use of 'queried' and 'rejoined' that was driving me nuts by the end and really took my attention away from the story.
