Heartwarming
Revisado: 03-15-23
I love listening to Mitch Albom's narration of his own stories .... he delivers the story with a warm authenticity.
This one tugged at the heartstrings.
The book presents beautiful life lessons and highlights the importance of love and compassion towards others .... no matter what the difference in religious affiliation.

Historia
With an exuberant mix of passion, insight, and humor, Anne Lamott takes us on a journey through her often troubled past to illuminate her devout but quirky walk of faith. In a narrative spiced with stories and scripture, with diatribes, laughter, and tears, Lamott tells how, against all odds, she came to believe in God and then, even more miraculously, in herself. She shows us the myriad ways in which this sustains and guides her, shining the light of faith on the darkest part of ordinary life and exposing surprising pockets of meaning and hope.

Truly beautiful
Revisado: 02-12-23
It's the first time I've read anything by Anne Lamott. I'm so glad I did.
She brilliantly delivers her unsugar-coated understanding of faith and life.
I'll be purchasing the hardcopy, too.

Historia
For many years, Glennon Doyle denied her discontent. Then, while speaking at a conference, she looked at a woman across the room and fell instantly in love. Three words flooded her mind: There. She. Is. At first, Glennon assumed these words came to her from on high but soon she realised they had come to her from within. This was the voice she had buried beneath decades of numbing addictions and social conditioning. Glennon decided to let go of the world’s expectations of her and reclaim her true untamed self.

Brave
Revisado: 01-11-23
Glennon Doyle has a way with words...she uses them to weave magic into sentences and paragraphs, onto pages and into the hearts of women.
This book is beautiful, funny, thought-provoking and brave.

It pulls at the heart strings
Revisado: 10-24-22
I'm so happy to have stumbled upon this gem of a story.
It's 2022 already, 2 years after the pandemic, but listening to this, was a stark reminder of what the world went through collectively.
Mitch Albom's performance absolutely enhances the tale. Beautifully written and beautifully read.
