An artfully presented glimpse into the postmodern unreality of Russia the plutocracy. Worth taking as a cautionary tale, as well.

This is more a soap opera in a dramatic setting than an insightful view into the assuredly fascinating, terrible time of the rise of the Nazis.

Compelling assembly of testimonials and evidence from authorities and respected sources. A bit too invested in the extraterrestrial hypothesis for me, but honestly so, at least.

Hard to distinguish Roberts from Smith in reading

The book is very good, but the otherwise solid performance has a near fatal flaw in that it's practically impossible to tell where Russ Roberts' text stops and the Adams passages begin (and vice versa.)

That said, the relevance of Smith's writings to the modern condition is incredible and this book provides a great condensation of Theory of Moral Sentiments.

WWZ is a great story delivered as a series of interviews; a format which lends itself unusually well to the audiobook format. The producers having taken great advantage here by assembling an all-star cast to really bring the characters to life. The author, Brooks, plays the interviewer himself, and does a great job of it. Lots of clever, light-touch social commentary wrapped in a great adventure. I couldn't recommend this more for audiobook listeners (especially over the film adaptation, which has nearly nothing to do with the book.)
