Historia
In The Surrender Experiment, Michael A. Singer tells the extraordinary story of what happened when, after a deep spiritual awakening, he decided to relinquish his personal fears and desires and simply let life unfold before him. Singer shares how this pivotal decision to embrace the flow of life led him to extraordinary success, sustained him through times of crisis, and allowed him to cultivate profound inner peace—whether as a young man pursuing a life of solitude in the woods, the founder of a thriving spiritual community in Florida, or the CEO of a billion-dollar medical software company.

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Not feeling well after reading
Revisado: 03-18-23
First 90% of the book was difficult to listen to. Profanity and admissions of his sexual exploits mixed into what sounds like the authors dialogue with a therapist. There is no central narrative and I am left confused by the title of the book whether his view is to not to care about things, to care about things, or to care about some things. The ending or last 5% of the book has some good points which are consistent with Buddhist beliefs and because of the title and language of the book probably makes a good entry point for a western, millennial or Gen Z into eastern views. The author seems to have good readership and I believe would do good continuing with the ending of this book into a prolonged edition, or new book expanding on these views and tying it further into eastern philosophy. Just my unsolicited opinion - the book has good reviews so obvious there are plenty that took more from the book than I.

Historia
The science behind the debate raging in modern physics over the disconcerting and uncomfortable realization that just maybe there is, as astronomer Fred Hoyle put it, some sort of "superintellect that has monkeyed with the physics". Written with the non-scientist in mind, this exploration of the big bang, Schroedinger's cat, the chaos of 9/11, the complexity of the mimic octopus and the blister beetle, and the strong anthropic principle is accessible to anyone bright enough to be interested.

My parents recommended this after being on a cruise with the author. Fantastic. Thank you for the download of so much research and contemplation. Always good to know your share the same questions with many others.
