Historia
After Tova Sullivan’s husband died, she began working the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium, mopping floors and tidying up. Keeping busy has always helped her cope, which she’s been doing since her eighteen-year-old son, Erik, mysteriously vanished on a boat in Puget Sound over thirty years ago. Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.

Refreshing, sweet story
Revisado: 08-20-24
This book was a refreshing change to my usual genre of thrillers and true crime. It was a wonderful and sweet story. And, excellent narration. Loved all the characters and Marcelo's wit and sneakiness. Highly recommend this wonderful book.

Historia
Meghan, Brecia, and Skye have just one thing in common. They were all murdered by the same man. He hunted them online, masquerading as an eligible bachelor. Then he played the perfect gentleman, a thick layer of charm and a thousand-watt smile hiding the fact that his first dates end in shallow graves. He’s gotten away with murder three times now. The only thing that might keep him from killing again? The women he murdered. Meghan, Brecia, and Skye might be dead, but they’re not gone. They’ve found each other. And they won’t rest until they find a way to stop him.

I liked the characters, the story, the subject, ie, serial killer, murder story. Narration was good. Nothing about the book did I dislike. Was all good. I’d been hitting a lot of duds for months until I read this book. Very enjoyable book.

Sad, Heartbreaking Story
Revisado: 10-27-23
Heartbreaking story for the family and community. Such dedicated, hope filled parents trying to bring their son home. The book started to lose me with all the long details about the groups, foundations, and political doings. I believe it could have been briefer there. I saw the documentary on 20/20 and Jacob will live forever in lots of hearts.

Wrong Narrator for the Book
Revisado: 08-13-23
Great, comical story with wonderful characters. One of my favorite movies which I’ve watched multiple times. As I was reading, I could picture the scene in the movie simultaneously. I believe an experienced male narrator
Would have been a better choice for the book. But I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Historia
As a prepper, Grayson Rowan was prepared for almost anything...anything other than being totally alone when the sh*t hits the fan. While he sat back and watched the US rattle swords with Korea, play chicken with Russia, and strong-arm China, he felt sure if the lights went out that he and his family would be ready and safe. What he wasn't prepared for was his family not being home if it ever happened. Olivia Rowan is with her sisters, Gabby and Emma, on a girls-only trip to Myrtle Beach. Graysie Rowan, a freshman at university, just wants to go home.

Was disappointed in this book. It didn’t really develop well. Spun in circles. Characters made some obviously dumb decisions. I’ve read lots of apocalyptic books and this one was “meh.”

No excitement, ending was meh.
Revisado: 01-04-22
This was a mediocre story at best. The only exciting part was the horrible murders at beginning. The story just dragged on and on. Many parts never knitted together. And although the guilty party at the end was a surprise, it wasn’t believable at all. I think I’ll stop while I’m ahead and not read any more if this author.
