Historia
It's been more than a year since Detective Sergeant Fiona Griffiths had any sort of murder case...when all of a sudden, she gets the call. A local archaeologist has been found bloodily murdered. Her head severed from her body. Her eyes apparently fixed on a fragment of Latin text. The crime seems to summon the ghosts of Dark Age Britain - and the shade of King Arthur. But why are those ancient enmities alive once again? Why are armed burglars raiding remote country churches? And how many more people will die before these clues are unravelled?

Historia
Jacob Finch Bonner was once a promising young novelist with a respectably published first book. Today, he’s teaching in a third-rate MFA program and struggling to maintain what’s left of his self-respect; he hasn’t written—let alone published—anything decent in years. When Evan Parker, his most arrogant student, announces he doesn’t need Jake’s help because the plot of his book in progress is a sure thing, Jake is prepared to dismiss the boast as typical amateur narcissism. But then...he hears the plot.

Narrator sounded like Siri!
Revisado: 02-15-22
Publishers need to re-record this with a different narrator! I could hardly stand it, but didn’t want to purchase again in print so I sucked it up. Narrator clearly was trying to enunciate and read slowly enough and he overachieved in that category! I rarely quit books but should have left this or skipped to the end. Plot self-involved, long, boring, until the last couple of hours. Overrated. Move on in your search-
