And comes up with an engaging story. Too much weight placed on short term financial concerns leads to what could be the end of civilization as we know it. It does have champions to save the day and bad guys that are mirrors of some of the decisions government and corporations are making now. This was a short book, but it keeps your interest until the end. I am going to be watching for episode 3.

Danika Datk writes stories that I compare to hero comic books, like Superman and Batman. The characters are stronger, smarter, more likable, but still "human". It gives me something to aspire to.

I have visited Alaska, but in the summer, and have always wanted to view the northern lights. This book made me feel like an Alaskan native...being there for northern lights, a clear view of Mount Denali, 20 hours of dark, and lots of snow and wind. Nora Roberts is a suburb story teller. She has woven in a hero, a heroine, a crime story, and lots of wonderful personalities.

I love historical fiction. This book carefully and skillfully weaves history, romance, and revelations about the skill of writing. The characters were wonderful, and the listener becomes vested in them immediately.

Debbie Macomber delivered again. The story line was great; the characters were engaging. I did want to hear more about the innkeeper and the handyman. A romance???

Lots of interesting questions arose as I read this book. Is Jacob guilty of murder? Is our justice system efficient and fair? Is there such a thing as a murder gene? Just how responsible are parents for the actions of their children?

I kept trying to like Jacob....but as evidence stacked up, it became increasingly difficult. Mr. Landay took us through a process similar to what his parents were feeling.

This is less Jacob's story than it is the story of his parents.

What made the experience of listening to Steve Jobs the most enjoyable?

This is current to me. I am a computer teacher and saw firsthand many of the Jobs miracles over these years. The book helped me see Steve as a human being, up close and personal. I also "met" the other Silicon Valley personages Steve reacted with. I did not realize he was a pretty good friend of Bill Gates.

Mr. Isaacson has a wonderful ability to turn a phrase so that it made me chuckle. For example, one of Steve's stock phrases at a product introduction was "There is one more thing." Isaacson's last pages started with the same phrase.

Every time I pass an Apple store, it makes me proud.

What other book might you compare Steve Jobs to and why?

One aspect of Isaacson's story was that the problem child in school often ends up the whiz kid in life. I saw this theme repeated in several of my recent readings: Unbroken and Townie, just to name a few.

Which character – as performed by Dylan Baker – was your favorite?

Undoubtedly....Steve Jobs. I wish I had more of an opportunity to know Laurene Powell better.

Steve spoke almost reverently of his adopted father too.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book made me do both. It made me like Steve Jobs immensely, and I think I am going to miss him. I don't think I would have made his "A list" of people though. I don't have the smarts, the creativity, and the self-confidence to blare my opinions to one and all. Personally, I am more like his middle daughter.

Any additional comments?

Thank you to Mr. Isaacson for the opportunity of this book. I am going to read some of your others, maybe the one on Benjamin Franklin.
