Historia
A start-up wastes a billion dollars making videos nobody wants to watch. A city rushes to build landing pads for flightless air taxi prototypes. Tech giants hire thousands of techies for fake projects to stop them working for rivals. The tech industry has a tendency to go crazy. In Siliconned, industry insider Emmanuel Maggiori decodes tech’s hysteria and explains why we all pay the price for it.

Great Summary of the State of Big Tech and Startups
Revisado: 10-25-24
Great narrator. Easily digestible book, with good examples that tie together good conclusions. As a software engineer, and someone who's been involved with angel investors I the past I thought the book did a good job of walking through the problems with tech industry and vcs.

Dennis E. Taylor, author of the best-selling Bobiverse trilogy, explores a whole different, darker world in this sci-fi stand-alone. Determined to give his wife and children a better life back home, Ivan Pritchard ventures to the edge of known space to join the crew of the Mad Astra as an asteroid miner. Another Masterpiece by Dennis E. Taylor
Revisado: 08-26-19
I couldn't stop listening. Taylor does a great job of mixing sci-fi references in pop culture with scientific concepts as are generally believed in early 21st century.
Taylor gives a great view of the future without sugar coating or too much magic.
If you loved Taylor's Bobiverse series you'll love Singularity Trap. I think fan of the Expanse would also appreciate this book.
Ray Porter does a great job with voices and getting me to feel the emotions of the book. The production also benefits from a few sound effects and voice alterations to make you feel like you are there.
can't wait for more!

Historia
The epic and highly anticipated conclusion to the listener-favorite series that had countless Audible listeners (and employees) hooked from the very first Bob - featuring, as always, a flawless performance from the inimitable Ray Porter. Being a sentient spaceship really should be more fun. But after spreading out through space for almost a century, Bob and his clones just can't stay out of trouble. They've created enough colonies so humanity shouldn't go extinct.

I couldn't stop listening. Taylor does a great job of representing realistic science of the future from time dialation to 3d printing.
Porter does a fantastic job with voices.
can't wait to hear more from both of them
