Well Written, Unsatisfying Ending
Revisado: 05-03-21
I like the premise and plot better than Something In The Water. The author is a good narrator. I am glad I read it, but think the ending wasn’t quite up to par with her skills.

Historia
In "Murder at the Mousetrap," the first Bunburry book, fudge-making and quaffing real ale in the local pub are matched by an undercurrent of passion, jealousy, hatred and murder - laced with a welcome dose of humour. Alfie McAlister has retreated from London to the peace and quiet of the country to recover from a personal tragedy. But an accidental death - which may have been no accident - reveals that the heart of England is far from the tranquil backwater he imagined.

Truly a “cozy” mystery series!
Revisado: 01-27-21
Just what you want in a cozy mystery—quirky characters, plenty of homemade fudge, and enough crime to keep it interesting.

Did not get many chapters in before giving up. So hard to focus on story due to poor reading, but want to find out what happens! Have added to hard copy book list.

Historia
Before John Glenn orbited the Earth or Neil Armstrong walked on the moon, a group of dedicated female mathematicians known as "human computers" used pencils, slide rules, and adding machines to calculate the numbers that would launch rockets and astronauts into space. Among these problem solvers were a group of exceptionally talented African American women, some of the brightest minds of their generation.

Don't just watch the movie!
Revisado: 02-09-18
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I loved this book, especially via audio - it has a lot of details but flows easily, and you cannot fully appreciate this story by just watching the movie. The characters were engaging, and I was sad that it was over. Non-fiction with characters that outrank many in favorite fiction! Fascinating and inspiring women who's stories were done justice by a good storyteller.
What did you like best about this story?
The details about everyday work and personal lives that enhanced the main plot line.
What does Robin Miles bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Brings the details of each character to life in a vivid, un-destracting way.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Well, someone already beat me to it, but...Unsung Heroes at Home and in the Race to Space.
