Excellent statistics quanifying the issues
Revisado: 11-14-12
Would you listen to 5 Conversations You Must Have With Your Daughter again? Why?
Vicki writes with excellent points and backs them with numbers. I found this refreshing and yet another way to illustrate to (my daughters and others) the importance of all of these issues.

Car time = Family time

What did you love best about From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler?
This is a great book. I heard it in school from my teacher (an after lunch treat) and wanted to share it with my kids. We live in the car. While there are books on tape/cd that we could have used in the past, nothing makes listening easier than the Audible app. It remembers exactly where we stopped. So we are able to pick up without fiddling around trying to find the chapter. Using an FM transmitter, I'm able to play it through the car speakers so all of us can listen. My kids love books and are glued to hearing every word of books we listen to this way. Now car time isn't boring, wasted time, we are able to enjoy something together and I am able to share my love of this and may other children's books with them.
