It's the last of this series and so I felt like I had to finish it. It is the weakest of the three. If you're already hooked on the trilogy, it's worth finishing. However, it doesn't have the richness of the other two books in this series-in character motivations or in environment. It is often confusing but I found myself not really worrying about the details that were unclear because I just wanted to get through the story. That's not a great sign. The performance is very good however.

Not really my thing

I wanted to know what this book was about because it was so influential. I was terribly disappointed. The ideas and gadgets and description of the virtual was interesting but the rest of the story was nearly impossible to follow. I'm glad I got through it because it is so often referenced. The performance isn't bad but it's hard to enjoy the piece overall because it feels so disjointed. If you're curious about this book, probably worth listening to but don't raise your expectations for a really satisfying story.

Excellent book and excellent reading. Listening to this was thoroughly enjoyable and I was sad when it was finished. It's my third time going through this book and my first time listening to it.

Tedious story

I read this because it is so often referred to. It was very disappointing. To be fair, this was written a very long time ago and does capture something but overall the story is thin and the characters lack a compelling humanity. It is clearly an allegory but even so, it's hard to enjoy it because the motivations do not feel true or convincing. However, I'm happy I did listen to it because it was so influential and it's helpful to understand the basis of things. Also, it's fairly short so it's not too painful to get through. If you were curious about this book, I'd recommend listening. If you're just looking for a great book to enjoy, I'd recommend skipping.

Grapes of Wrath is truly timeless

I enjoyed listening to this book very much-the relevance in 2020 is uncanny, especially for a book that's about 100 years old. The performance was good. There are a few voices that sound odd and irritating but they are minor (narrator cannot do women's voices well). This book will stay with me. Very strongly recommend.

some nuggets but some repetition

What did you love best about The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck?

there were some nice insights stated in a thoughtful way. But there was a lot of repetition that didn't develop just restated.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

The reading style was not great a little overdone. Also, the voices used for women sounded insulting to my ear.
