In the 1st minute, no exaggeration, eye opening
Revisado: 05-30-18
I felt the need to review this book within 15 minutes listening. In the first 60 seconds I was laughing out loud in joy as my jaw dropped thinking "Has this author been living in my head for 49 years?"... To reinforce what I was hearing was so perfectly describing my life in seemingly exact details, my mother became enraged listening because she now lives with and is dependent upon me, because she pretty much screwed up her life being so self centered she has nobody else to take care of her. She immediately made it about her, "I had problems too when I was a kid!" and continued to do exactly what the author was describing self centered immature parents do in real time... that's when my mind was blown, I laughed joyously, and stopped to write this review within minutes of the book'. I want to say a pre-thank you to the author now for what already is the start of healing and a peace of mind that has enveloped me knowing I am not alone in feeling by 10 years old "I think I'm the parent and my parents are the kids", and at 49 now, the feeling has gone unchanged - until I got this book. Thank You :-)

Already internationally acclaimed for his elegant, lucid writing on the most challenging notions in modern physics, Sean Carroll is emerging as one of the greatest humanist thinkers of his generation as he brings his extraordinary intellect to bear not only on the Higgs boson and extra dimensions but now also on our deepest personal questions. Where are we? Who are we? Are our emotions, our beliefs, and our hopes and dreams ultimately meaningless out there in the void?

Was fine until...
Revisado: 09-20-17
I'm a science geek, and a spiritual person... what turned me immediately off to listening any further was when the author says, like he knows absolutely, that when you die you're dead, nothing happens, there's no life after death and even laughs like "you're a dope if you think something happens when you die." Take it from this 50 year old that became a science sponge since grade school because I wanted to find God.. and did, and more. I've had 'supernatural' things happen all my life which drove me deeper in science. My dead grandmother called me the day my grandfather died and it's recorded, explain that author. I quit a ghost hunting group because a bit too much was attracted to me. My favorite query for people like the author whom obviously is atheist yet talks about how science shows multiple dimensions exist he can't see, and he believes in that but not God, is this: 1) Who made the laws of science that tells him there's no God or life after death or other dimension our consciousness goes to... and the mind blower.. 2) super string theory says there are 10 dimensions and M-theory says 11.... explain to me how in the dead sea scrolls, in the secret gospel of John that's not in any Bible, John describes God appearing to him and explaining many things, one of which is the 10 dimensions that exist within the ultimate 1 dimension, which is God. It was written within the 1st century in Jesus's time, and was only discovered 70 years ago.... and backs up TODAY'S science. So... explain that, author, and open your mind.

only for those with a calling
Revisado: 10-08-16
only if you have received a calling to do God's work this is for you.. only if the Bible was not enough for you and you always sought out more your entire life as I have.. only if you are truly spiritual, and not religious. Only for those that know and understand God and know as Jesus truly taught, the church, the temple, is YOU.. not a building.

Cayce in modern day applications
Revisado: 09-30-16
Perfect book to explain Cayce teachings and readings in modern times. I've been fascinated with Cayce since a child and this book is great to apply him with changing times and news of today.. like climate change and such. If everyone knew of this man and embraced his gifts the world would be a much better place and at peace.

Revisado: 09-25-16
If you listen with two good ears and open mind and follow the simple concepts Cayce speaks of you WILL have God speak to you.. concepts like the law of attraction, love, patience, etc... it's not hard, just pray, meditate, have good in your heart, and talk to God.. and He will reveal Himself.. and your consciousness will have a paradigm shift an you will see the world through God's eyes.

You will believe in Cayce if you don't already
Revisado: 09-18-16
I was intrigued by Cayce as a child.. I'm 48 now and been a member of the A.R.E. for years.. now to hear real names and true stories behind the readings... mind blowing. If everyone would follow his simple holistic remedies, nobody would be sick, drug companies do not want people to know how simple perfect health can be.. Cayce died of exhaustion trying to heal as many as he could.. and you will hear some of their testimonials in this book. Your life is 1 step away from changing, once you believe in Edgar Cayce.. whom channeled Jesus telling him how to heal the sick and perform miracles.. and also died because of them... just like Jesus.

Essential to those that marry Science and Religion
Revisado: 09-10-16
I am a preacher.. and a scientist.. and if you struggle to marry Faith and Science.. which I never could understand since a child that had no doubt there was a God.. then listen to Lewis's rationalization that I figured out as a kid... but unlike me, he was an atheist... turned Christian.. and I was a catholic with no doubt of God.. but doubted what man was telling me. This is essential information for all to hear.

Many of us are overwhelmed by the gap between our weaknesses and our dreams, between who we are and who God says we are meant to be. We feel unqualified to do God’s work or to live out the possibilities we imagine. But God has a way of using our weaknesses for good. In fact, God loves unqualified people.

nice book.. sleepy narration
Revisado: 09-01-16
I didn't realize the author is a preacher i seen on tv yesterday. Why he didn't read his own book i dont know. The narrator isn't bad, but hearing a preacher in his own voice would have been much better especially after seeing him.
