Historia
Based on the latest research on brain development and extensive clinical experience with parents, Dr. Laura Markham's approach is as simple as it is effective. Her message: Fostering emotional connection with your child creates real and lasting change. When you have that vital connection, you don't need to threaten, nag, plead, bribe - or even punish. This remarkable guide will help parents better understand their own emotions - and get them in check - so they can parent with healthy limits, empathy, and clear communication.

The best parenting advise I've ever heard!
Revisado: 03-31-16
From beginning to end, this audio book is excellent. I just wish I heard it 15 years ago when I first became a parent because it would have helped me greatly and saved me from a lot of mistakes. Many of the lessons I've learned the hard way we're explained in this audio book. If you have or care for children this book is a must! I am going to see what else Dr. Laura has written and buy it too.

Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

RIVETING STORY, TOP NOTCH PERFORMANCE.
Revisado: 09-29-15
I really enjoyed this well written book although the foul language was something awful. The narrator did a suburb job with the characters voices.

Historia
Centuries ago, Spanish conquistadors searching for gold and new lands encountered a group of independent city-states in Mesoamerica. Sophisticated beyond the Spaniards' wildest imaginings, these people were the Aztecs, the Maya, and related cultures that shared common traditions of religion, government, the arts, engineering, and trade. In many ways more advanced than European nations, these societies equaled the world's greatest civilizations of their time.

Great Presentation and a Wonderful Narrator

Really fascinating discoveries and well spoken
Revisado: 04-27-15
I very much enjoyed listening to this professor talk about the amazing world of the Maya and Aztec cultures as well as other lessor known parallel cultures of ancient Mexico, Guatemala and Belize. I found it refreshing that this man is incredibly knowledgeable and yet does not present himself as a know it all, on the contrary he is very encouraging to future up and coming archeologists who he admits will find even more amazing evidence that may even overthrow his well educated and experienced insights. The presentation of this program was done in a friendly manner that was very enjoyable to listen to. I recommend this lecture and any others that this professor may present.

Historia
Despite dogged attempts by musicologists worldwide to find its source, the violin’s origins remain maddeningly elusive. The instrument surfaced from nowhere in particular, in a world that Columbus had only recently left behind and Shakespeare had yet to put on paper. By the end of the violin’s first century, people were just discovering its possibilities. But it was already the instrument of choice for some of the greatest music ever composed by the end of its second. By the dawn of its fifth, it was established on five continents as an icon of globalization, modernization, and social mobility, an A-list trophy, and a potential capital gain.

Everything violin
Revisado: 03-29-15
I really enjoyed this treatise complete on the violin. Whether you make, play or just love to listen to the violin, you will enjoy this book. The research represented by this very detailed book must be immense indeed. As a violin maker I have read many books on the violin and its history, but this one blows them all out of the water. It is all in this book and presented in a wonderful way.
