Historia
Once upon a time, there lived a girl named Fallon who was taken far away from home shortly after she was born. A home that held more than strange traditions and bizarre superstitions. Twenty-four years later, she returned to Weeping Hollow, a town she'd only heard about in stories during restless nights under a marble moon, to take care of her last living relative.

This novel was spooky and mysterious. I was invested until about halfway through where I just became annoyed. I really wanted to enjoy this one, and while I did at some parts, I just felt the whole plot was lacking. I did finish this book with the hope the ending would redeem it; however, that was not the case, sadly.
p.s the male narrator just wasn't a great fit in my opinion.

This dark Gothic romance was magical. I felt captured in the story and entertained throughout it. It gave Wednesday vibes which I very much enjoyed! It was hauntingly beautiful and one I recommend to anyone who likes Gothic stories 🖤

Historia
A queen now in exile as a traitor, Lara has watched Ithicana be conquered by her own father, helpless to do anything to stop the destruction. But when she learns her husband, Aren, has been captured in battle, Lara knows there is only one reason her father is keeping him alive: as bait for his traitorous daughter. And it is bait she fully intends to take. Risking her life to the Tempest Seas, Lara returns to Ithicana with a plan not only to free its king, but for liberating the Bridge Kingdom from her father’s clutches using his own weapons: the sisters whose lives she spared.

3.5 stars for this second book in The Bridge Kingdom series. I liked this book, but unfortunately did not love it. It wasn't necessarily bad, but it felt so repetitive and ultimately anticlimactic which is very frustrating after two full books. I have not decided if I will continue this series or not. The only thing that makes it pretty appealing is that it's free on audible.

I'm not gonna lie...I do judge books by their cover, and because of that, I have avoided reading this book. That was a mistake. This book kept me engaged every minute, and I can't believe I waited so long to read it! Plus, it's free on audible! I will definitely be starting the sequel right away with how this one ended!

Wow.. let me just start by saying I listened to the unabridged version of this book (which is about 48 hours). I loved the beginning of this book. It reminded me of Les Miserables and, for some reason, Beauty and the Beast as well. While listening to this story, I found myself a bit bored toward the middle and increased the speed of listening. I was a bit disappointed, but then it came back with a vengeance (Pun intended, haha 😄). I wavered between 3-4 stars, but after finishing , I decided to give it 4 stars. I would be interested in reading the abridged version, but part of me always feels like I need the authors intended version to do it justice. Anyways, I would recommend this book. Just have patience in the middle.
Also, Spark Notes is very helpful to make sure all the details are understood ✨️
Now to watch the movie! 🎬

Historia
Some places seem too beautiful to be touched by horror. Summit Lake, nestled in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains, is that kind of place. But two weeks ago, Becca Eckersley, a first-year law student and daughter of a powerful attorney, was brutally murdered there. Now the town is reeling with grief, and the police are baffled.

It was interesting. I will give it that. I was enjoying it for awhile until I felt like some things did not make sense and were not realistic. With that being said maybe the author was going for "life isn't always pretty" kind of vibe. I really just did not understand the ending though. It could have been great it just left more questions in my opinion though. Also TW this book is not for those who want to avoid the topic of SA just keep that in mind.

To start off, this book is not my typical genre so giving it 5 stars is a big deal to me! This book was incredible. I laughed, I cried, etc... This book is modern and while I know nothing about video games I was able to understand it all 🎮 this book covers topics beautifully and respectfully. Some things addressed throughout are: racism, sexism, those differently abled, and trauma to name a few. One thing that really stood out to me was when they discussed struggles with being biracial which I relate to and have not yet seen in a book. Needless to say...I loved it....terribly.

TW: suicide, murder, depression (author did a fantastic jon of warning the readers to read with care before chapter one)

Historia
Lo Blacklock, a journalist who writes for a travel magazine, has just been given the assignment of a lifetime: a week on a luxury cruise with only a handful of cabins. The sky is clear, the waters calm, and the veneered, select guests jovial as the exclusive cruise ship, the Aurora, begins her voyage in the picturesque North Sea. At first Lo's stay is nothing but pleasant: The cabins are plush, the dinner parties are sparkling, and the guests are elegant. But as the week wears on, frigid winds whip the deck, and gray skies fall.

This book was difficult to read. I found it very improbable, and the protagonist was not very likable (and frankly annoying), in my opinion. I also felt I didn't connect well with the characters and therefore had no horse in the race when the plot finally began. Honestly, I would not recommend it, unfortunately, as I worked hard just to finish it.
