Thoroughly enjoyed as escapism

This was so much fun! A modern take on the Cinderella fairy tale, without the evil step mother, and yes we knew how it was going to end, but who cares with all the feel good. A smile on your face read with some laugh out loud moments. I really enjoyed this as an audible listen.

Great romantic suspense!!

Fantastic narration, great story, I loved the main characters and filled out nicely with well developed side characters (Small town feel with interesting small town characters). Some of the town's crimes became as interesting to me as the main Russian Maffia crime story. I fully recommend.

A gorgeous story!!

While discussing a serious subject like Bipolar, depression, this story was such a joy! Absolutely charming, I listened with a smile. The narrator was amazing, capturing the different characters perfectly. Brilliant!
Funny, romantic, sexy, all the feels.

A wonderful m/m historical romance.

Not only a great m/m romance, one of the best historical romances I've read so far.
Wonderful narration, I fully appreciate this narrator's skill with varried accents, from a Tori Dandy, to a rough bulldog from the poorest London, to whiney cockney'd nefarious characters.
Ensure you start from the beginning of the series.

Sexy and highly entertaining!!

This was my first from this author, and freaking loved it!!
Trusted book friends have loved this on audible recently, so jumped on it while on sale. Otherwise I may have missed it due to the Abb's book cover, of which I normally discard as shallow gratuitous stories (Yes, I'm a cover snob).

The delicious narration by Sebastian York may have helped, he was Spot On, and Sexy AF!! I may have also had copious amounts of red wine starting this audio off, finding myself at 56% in one sitting. In fact, I blame Sebastian York for drinking so much wine, because he was just so much yummy fun!!

I should credit the author for giving such a well crafted friends to lovers story. It was smile inducing, with many laugh out loud moments. Great supporting cast, of course setting us up for further books.
Predictable ending. But I loved it. You kind of know what you're going to get with contemporary romance, the fun is in how the characters get there.

I highly recommend this book, and can't wait to do the rest of the series, also narrated by the same narrator - woo hoo! Do the audible!!

I'm surprised how thoroughly I enjoyed this book! Timeless, romantic, immerse yourself in gorgeous words and feelings.
Listened via audible, narrated by actress Thandie Newton, definitely enhanced my experience. Astounding voice acting, I was enthralled with her range of characters portrayed. Her voice made this book. I can only wish more classic stories could be transformed thus fantastically with current and contemporary narration, bringing these old world's to the now.
Mr Rochester, I loved thee!! And Jane, a strong and modern female for her times, tamed him with her sass.

Thoroughly enjoyed this conclusion to a great series

4 1/2 stars!
There are mixed feelings from many of my book friends who shared in the anticipation of this book, after the great love and Splendour of The Wrath & The Dawn.
I listened to this via audible, and perhaps it raised my experience due to the great narration, but I simply loved this final conclusion to this wonderful series. Fantastical, magic carpets, magic. Perhaps it may have been a bit easy to reach its conclusion, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it.
I Enjoyed this audible version, it was a pleasure and an escape, and I couldn't wait to get back to this tale when I had to put it down.
